"Friends identified the man as Stuart Rodger. Picture: Liam Turbett"
Why did he get such a large picture, i wanted to see clegg covered in shit.
BLUE PAINT, OH NOOOOOOOOOO! NOT THE BLUE PAINT!
He is going to die.
I feel kind of bad for Clegg, because he gets a lot of the blame for current goings on.
But then again, it is his fault for not having the balls to stand up to Cameron.
Well that's just inconsiderate.
Filthy back-stabbing lying bastard.
Deserves a million Winners.
Someone finally got that spineless cunt. Fucking awesome.
He just happens to go to my University, cue the furthering debate of unruly students.
I don't care if he's spineless, I feel really bad for him.
I wrote him a motivational mail when he lost, because I saw a picture of him where he looked sad.
He has the puppy-sad look.

That doesnt mean you should hate him.
i don't see why everyone is hating clegg
I mean come on , he won a minority of the parliament
he has the minority of the power
how can he be expected to fulfill all of his party's goals when his party doesn't even have full power

Mainly the whole 'We definetly won't raise student university fees.'
'We are now raising student university fees.'
I wrote him a motivational mail when he lost
did he write back?

Mr Long Leggy Cleggy Weggy Eggy.
This doesn't suprise me, he's deserved this for quite a while now.
He did it for short term political gain. And in doing so he fucked over everyone.
The Liberals probably will never recover.
Good thing it wasn't THAT kind of blue 'paint'. I doubt the human body can withstand continuous bouncing like a turret can.
Well, that and the fact whatever is in that stuff HATES the human skeleton.
This kind of thing is just plain stupid. He's a decent politician, so there's no need to do anything physical to him. His party is the minority in government so people can't expect him to achieve all of his goals. I hope whoever threw the paint gets a hefty enough sentence, and has to give compensation. If you don't agree with what a politician's doing, then tell him, send in a letter to a newspaper or just don't vote for him again. Throwing paint on him is just borderline barbaric.
They did the same thing to our Health Minister over here, and the woman that threw the paint was fined €1,500.

He'd said he and his party would oppose any rise in student fees - and then didn't raise any opposition at all. He sold his party down the river for a taste of power, and basically killed his hope of political career, and the hope of the Lib-dems tasting any real power in the near future.

You're acting like they just straight up punched him in the face.

Deserved it.

He's sounding more and more like a tragic villain by the minute. It's kind of hard for me not to sympathize with him when it's one fatal flaw holding him back.

I don't see how that portrays him as tragic. It portrays him like most politicians, left and right - power hungry.

At heart, he seems to have good intentions. It's just that he believes that, in order to follow through on them, he needs more power.
Lust has driven a good man bad, and I can tell I'll be in a similar situation at some point in my life. So, yeah, I can sympathize.
