Five rockets from Syria landed across the border with Israel in the Golan Heights overnight between Saturday and Sunday. The rockets landed in open areas and no injuries were initially reported. Multiple alert sirens sounded in the Golan Regional Council warning of the attack The projectile strike from Syria came hours after a separate incident on Saturday night in which a rocket fired from Lebanon hit a building in an open area in the Upper Galilee. Two children were lightly injured by shrapnel and four people were suffering from shock as a result of the attack. The news agency NNA, citing its correspondent in Tire, said the rockets were fired towards Israel and that the Lebanese army had encircled the suspected launch area. No group immediately claimed responsibility for the attack. It must be awful living in constant fear of a bomb just landing anywhere where you live, and potentially killing you on both sides in this war.
Have a friend in Israel, I really hope this doesn't get worse, I dunno what goes through the minds of residents of these countries when stuff like this happens.
July 2006 V2: Lebanese Boogaloo
I wonder if the Syria attacks have something to do with ISIS.
I want to see Lamar defend this one
Why would Lebanon decide to launch a missile into Israel when they are trying to deal with the fact that ISIS just invaded them? The same goes for Syria, who are in the middle of a Civil War AND ISIS.

Wouldn't be surprised if ISIS was responsible for both attacks, Israel is on some of the land that they've claimed.
Wouldn't be surprised if ISIS was responsible for both attacks, Israel is on some of the land that they've claimed.
get a grip the latest internet boogieman isn't behind everything
Wouldn't be surprised if ISIS was responsible for both attacks, Israel is on some of the land that they've claimed.
what you mean like the entire planet
get a grip the latest internet boogieman isn't behind everything
Yeah you're right, I'm sure it was the FSA shooting rockets at Israel, just because reasons.
get a grip the latest internet boogieman isn't behind everything
isis internet boogieman lol
Yeah you're right, I'm sure it was the FSA shooting rockets at Israel, just because reasons.
Or one of the dozen other Islamist groups popping up in Syria, or Hezbollah, which has a sizable presence in Syria during the war. Just because the IS is in all the headlines doesn't mean they are behind everything. I saw people blaming them for airstrikes in Libya even..
get a grip the latest internet boogieman isn't behind everything
At least in Lebanon it was probably Palestinian militants, who don't answer to neither the Lebanese government nor Hezbollah. They have already fired rockets into Israel a couple of times during this conflict, and the Lebanese army found and arrested the shooters.
I want to see Lamar defend this one
Presumably the same way total nutcases try and defend Israel shelling Palestinians? In an ideal world, no bombs would be dropped at all.
isis internet boogieman lol
"oh no something bad happened in the middle east. It MUST be ISIS. Hold me I'm so spooked"
"oh no something bad happened in the middle east. It MUST be ISIS. Hold me I'm so spooked"
People are hypothesizing that an extremely violent militant group may be attempting to further conflict in an already embroiled region. They are not saying "i'm so spooked". Quit being a jackass.
People are hypothesizing that an extremely violent militant group may be attempting to further conflict in an already embroiled region.
and how many of those already exist why ISIS from territory they don't even control?
from territory they don't even control?
They have a pretty decent grip over Syria.
They have a pretty decent grip over Syria.
do people here actually even know what they're talking about
The Lebanese army has already found the launchers. Still looks like it's probably Palestinians. probably about the latest war between Hamas and Israel. Which actually makes sense - unlike ISIS.
Oh my god why can't people stop killing eachother?
ISIS is not in range of Israel because Assad is parked between them. If ISIS was in range of Israel that would imply they've established a foothold in south west Syria, in which case they would be focusing on sacking Damascus and not provoking another western-sided nation.

If they have any of Iraq's scuds than Israel would certainly be within range. Of course, they are forever within Israel's reach as well.
