And for the ninth-consecutive time, Apple took the top spot with a score of 855 out of 1,000. Back in September, when J.D. Power last conducted a study on smartphone customer satisfaction, Apple scored 849. The second-place smartphone vendor in the latest J.D. Power survey was Nokia, scoring a 795. Samsung came in a close third at 793, followed by Motorola and HTC with 792 and 790, respectively. The average vendor score was a 796 -- a far cry from BlackBerry's lowly 732.
http://news.cnet.com/8301-13579_3-57575557-37/the-iphone-tops-j.d-power-satisfaction-rankings-again/ Apple also sent out this e-mail on their mailing list:
Turns out, we spoke too soon. For the ninth time in a row, iPhone ranks “Highest in Customer Satisfaction with Consumer Smartphones” by J.D. Power and Associates. iPhone ranked highest in a study that looked at the following categories: performance, physical design, features, and ease of operation. In fact, iPhone has ranked highest in each of these studies since the first iPhone was introduced.
cool, i like my iphone.
9th time in a ROW? Then again, iPhones are pretty nice phones. Just a shame that they cost an arm and a leg.
It's probably a lot easier to do this when you make one solid phone. Not like the other companies who churn out 1001 other mediocre/bad ones along with their good ones.
Upgrading to the 5 tommorow, Would have done it sooner but broke a 4 and had to buy another one so extended my damn upgrade time. Love my iphone, Been loving them since 07

Not surprised, really. I still like my Droid 4 but I can totally understand why so many people like the iPhone. [sp]I just want a fucking smart phone with a physical keyboard ;_;[/sp]
Nice to see Nokia at 2 as well. I like their phones along with iPhones.
I like my iPhone, but I now despise Apple as a company because of their "sue everyone" approach, so once my contract is up I will be parting with it. Oh well.
I have an iPhone 5 but that's because I couldn't get a Nexus 4. I'd prefer the Nexus but it's not a big deal to me.

Nokia makes tons of affordable phones for a wide variety of demographics and they are 2nd on the list. The other companies just want to cash in on saps

had an iphone since the 3g was first released. great phones and i've actually had great support to go along with it. anytime i've had a problem i've gotten a free replacement. except for the one time i walked into a lake with my phone in my pocket that was kinda dumb
they've won best smartphone of the year 9 years in a row even though the iphone has been in existence for only 7 years. what
Gosh I wish I could actually get a Nexus 4.
they've won best smartphone of the year 9 years in a row even though the iphone has been in existence for only 7 years. what
These are given out twice a year.
These are given out twice a year.
Thanks for clarifying that. I couldn't find how often it was but seeing "volume 1" made me think it was probably biannual or something.
I can't see myself owning any smartphone apart from an iPhone unless they seriously fuck up. I don't think they really can at this point as long as they just keep improving the hardware. It's perfect as it is - no new fancy features required.
S3 and S4 currently are vastly superior phones. I'm hoping next year the S4 gets it.
