• Micro SD card Issue

About 3 weeks ago I got a new Nokia E63 Mobile Phone with a MicroSD card acting like secondary memory. Everything was working great until 4 days ago.... Whenever I inserted my SD card into my computer and attempted to place files in it, there would be an error saying "The device cannot be read due to an I/O error" So when I attempt to reformat it to fix the issue (by right clicking and going to properties) My Computer (the suite, not the thing I am using right now) will lock up on me. The Card works on my dad's computer but except when I transfer some videos I get a big fat "parameter issue". Please this is really bothering me and I got school camp tomorrow and I would like to listen to music/watch videos instead of staring out the window for 9 hours waiting to get to Canberra. All in all, what I am asking is; Can somebody help resolve my I/O device issue so I may be able to upload files to my SD card without issue. If you need my computer specifications ask and I will edit this post but I seriously believe it's not my computer's fault. EDIT: @ Cheesemonkey: I would put the files on my dad's computer and back to the card, but I'd rather fix the card as a matter of convenience so I can do the job right in front of me. @ B1N4RY: My phone is able to identify the SD card it's just my computer. - Don't Bother- : Camp is over and I managed to pull through two nine hour trips with just 72 songs rather than 130 as I wanted. If a moderator passes by this thread can he/she close it or maybe delete it since the issue was never resolved. Thanks for the help anyway everyone.
Perhaps there is something wrong with your card reader, try buying a cheap one off ebay for a few quid and use that If it still doesn't work then it's your card that's corrupt
Just move files on your dads's computer. [editline]11:29AM[/editline] also the "parameter issue" is probably the format the card is in, if it's simply fat16 it can't handle files over a certain size. you can't fix this because your phone probably only reads fat16
If your phone cannot read the card, and your PC is also have various problems reading the card, chances are that your card is dead, or will die soon.
