Apperently this panel surpasses the U2711 in performance, and is only 458 British pounds.
This monitor is loaded with inputs, it also has less input lag then the u2711, not by much though.
It doesn't have the annoying AG coating of the U2711
Heres another http://www.hazro.com/HZ27WB.php
This is cheaper, but it lacks in inputs, but it also does pivot.
Cheapest one:
http://www.hazro.com/HZ27WC.php
The HZ27WC is only 8 bit, the other two are 10bit.
I'm pretty rich and 458 pounds is a fucking huge amount to pay for a monitor that I probably wouldn't be able to use it's native resolution for any games because my computer would DIE HORRIBLY attempting it.
I believe this is a spam bot. No question was posed.
EDIT: Well, I suppose a spam bot wouldn't have that many posts. But really, what would you like to know OP?
458 pounds is like another PC... pay for what you get I guess

It's not a spambot, I assume he's asking if it's worth it and if it's a good deal.

The fuck are you on about?
No I'm just showing off this monitor, it's a great deal, I'm pretty sure most people on the forum are only aware of the U2711/ACD for 1440p screens.
This is better, and cheaper.

The A model has a resolution scaler.

But what's the point if the only thing I'll ever see in 2560x1440 is my desktop?

Pretty much all high end cards can run any game at max on 2560x1440, if you have a £400 monitor you're not exactly going to be running a GMA X3500 are you?

I'm more worried about how there's literally no game on the planet that actually supports that kind of resolution. As far as I know, 1920x1080 was the absolute maximum for most games.

Pretty much every game post 2007 supports that resolution, probably even earlier I don't know, and from what I've heard 1080p scales really well on these monitors.
Sadly it's a glossy monitor :(
Sure, "brilliant" colours. But once you have any light source behind you, you will say "Fucking glare".

But glossy is better if the sun is shining on the monitor I guess.
I have that problem with my monitor, if it shines I have to squint my eyes to see anything.

Haha, no. A bunch of games have been supporting 1200p (4:3) since 1997. A few have even went up to 2048x1536 which is both wider and taller than the standard 1080p HD format. 2560x1600 is probably the most common max resolution in modern games.
Why would you even want such a huge resolution ?
Why would you even want such a huge resolution ?
Many reasons, games look better on a larger screen, more work space etc.

Or you can buy two more 1080p screens and still not pay as much.
You then get 5760x1080 in games etc.

And a huge ass seam. And well, 2 monitors instead of one big monitor.

Eyefinity with LED screens which don't get a huge ass seam:

3x 1920x1080 is what I tried to say.
Compared with the 30" DELLs and Apple monitors, this one's fairly cheap. Normally monitors with this resolution cost a grand or more.

I just looked at Apple's site and apparently they only sell a 27" model these days for $999.
If you convert the 550GBP (which includes VAT) to USD that monitor is $900.
Dell's 27" is also $999, and their 30 inch is $1499.
I've never heard of Hazro, but if I was spending that much on a monitor I'd probably pay the extra $100 to get an Apple or Dell.

I run a 2560x1440 iMac 27", all games I've tried run fine at that resolution.

you can get virtually any game to run at any resolution
why do people still have this retarded notion that games support really limited resolutions?
I mean I can go and play HL and CS 1.6 at 1920x1080 and I'm sure as hell that they weren't intended to be played at that
