When I start the computer and make it to the desktop, I can't click on icons on the desktop and when I hover over the taskbar I get an hourglass. The taskbar itself has blue where the start button and the notification area is. To actually use the computer, I have to quit the explorer.exe process and restart it.
I got this about a week ago, so I reinstalled Windows XP (This is on my netbook). After getting it again I scanned with Malware bytes and had quite a few instances of Worm.Parite, I removed those and since it was a worm, I checked my home server (Running Windows 2000) and that too had Worm.Parite, though didn't have the problem I was having with my netbook. I recently installed Magicdisk's free virtual drive (For legit purposes mind you), doPDF PDF printer, Quassel IRC Client, XChat IRC Client and Malware Bytes. There may have been others.

Woah, that was odd. I ran Checkdisk and when I got back into Windows, everything is fine and it's now getting 19 updates, mostly relating to Microsoft Office 2007.
