That is quite beautiful, just makes you appreciate the beauty of the galaxy/universe we live in, and impressive if you consider one man did this all.
Check out this video aswell, made by somebody else on the Teide on Tenerife:

And well this seems kinda obvious now that I know but this is the site about the entire project: http://skysurvey.org/

He needs to get a life

Hello new background
Space looks cool.
:golfclap:
Amazing.

This is why I love (and fear) space. Go into full screen mode and hold the left and bottom arrow key. Imagine hurtling through space, for what seems forever, or may even be forever, until you are pulled into a gas giant or another planet or hit by a meteor, with no one ever knowing. Space is awesome but an infinite subject.
That's beautiful.

I'm so setting my desktop as this website.
It blows my mind you can capture images like these of space without actually taking the pictures from orbit.
Also blows my mind how much colour their is aswell.
didn't google already do this?
One of the most beautiful things I've seen.
Relevant to this is this an amazing video: http://vimeo.com/22439234
I have a question: Is that wonderful sight of the Milky Way only obtainable with a camera or does it naturally look like that if i were to look up?

The best view of the Milky Way i've had was in Crete, could distinctly see the dark clouds and a ridiculous number of stars. Not as much as that picture, but still absolutely beautiful :h:
Was a nice change from the shitty light polluted rural England
