• CBR\CBZ\RAR reader for ipod touch?

I have a 3rd gen running 3.1.3 jailbroken, and have a pretty big collection of digital comics in CBR\CBZ\RAR formats. I tried using stanza, but I couldn't find where to drop the CBR\CBZ, and the comic I'm on is a RAR which isn't even supported. I read a thing about using dropbox and another comic app, but I didn't really pay attention to it because I didn't really feel like getting a bunch of shit just to not have it work
A .rar is a compressed archive. You need to uncompress it to get the comic files out. Use WinRAR or UnRarX

Yeah, every comic book reader that I've used just opens the .rar and has all the pictures in the right formatting

Use WinRAR or UnRarX[/QUOTE] cbr = rar compressed images (numbered) with renamed file extension cbz = zip compressed images (numbered) with renamed file extension [editline]06:52PM[/editline] So, to make a comic file, pic the pics, number them and put them in a zip (or a rar, not so good) file, rename it.
for Stanza, within iTunes, do this: your iPod > Apps > Stanza (under File Sharing Apps) and then just drag shit over to "Documents" it works great for non-retina iOS things but the comics look like shit on iPhone 4 and iPod Touch 4G. it's weird that they'd bother to have a retina comic icons but the pages themselves don't. ex: [img_thumb]http://img299.imageshack.us/img299/4396/img0022z.png[/img_thumb] can't read shit
Uh, I don't have an apps under my iPod [editline]02:55AM[/editline] I have the apps tab, but stanza doesn't have anything special
you mean you don't have this? [img]http://img194.imageshack.us/img194/1386/45239548.png[/img]
Yeah, mine doesn't have that, but I just realized that I never made the update from iTunes 9, so that might be the problem here
stanza predates OS4 and thus iTunes 10 so that should be in there either way try launching Stanza on the touch, first, maybe that'll do it
so did it explode and take you with it or something?
