Hey Guys,
I thought it would be appropriate for me to post my first EP release titled "Misplacement". The EP itself is built of 4 tracks 3 Chillstep with one being chilled Trap.
Check it out Here: http://soundcloud.com/iqarus/sets/misplacement-free-ep
And let me know what you guys think! Also cover art below

Thanks!
which one of them is supposed to be trap
Awesome mate... I'll be chucking these on my iPhone when I get home to my comp :)
That was really good. Definitely sounds like something I would listen to often.
Sick tunes mans. followed :)

Well I guess its not technically considered trap but meant Midnight Manners. Also awesome to see positive feedback glad you guys like it!

none of them, no idea what "chilled trap" is, its a nice EP though.
Cool EP, man! Exactly the style of music I like, followed you.
And Trapchill is a fusion genre I've never seen before, but I like it.
Pretty cool. I feel like Misplacement should be playing over sweeping opening shots of a cyberpunk city for some reason.
I'll have a listen when my internet is uncapped.
For future threads you could post it in any (or all) of these forums:

I wonder if it's ok to post the same thing in 3 sections? I have an album coming soon (rock/pop/metal with vocals) should I post 3 times the same thread in every section so it gets seen? General discussion is obviously the wrong section.
I like.
Very nice.
Whoa, this is really cool
If you made a not-free full album I'd buy it
Soundcloud didn't work for me. I'm wondering if it is just me.
These tunes have potential but they're not punchy enough. The drums are kind of weak. I like the melodies and stuff though.
Just my two cents.
This stuffs perfect for just chilling out to. I really love it, keep up the good work.

Sorry, only reason I made a thread here was because its more casual and those sub-forums are pretty dead, to casual listeners at least.
its mastered like crap and really needs eq treatment and then it'll sound a lot better. the settlement doesnt sound that bad to me though a+
you could do something a lot cooler by not trying to make it dubstep tho. dubstep is a boring formula and nobody does it well. do some crazy chillwave trap shit or skream-type dubstep and it'll sound super cool
it sounds alright but imo it seems very amateur, your mastering is really weak

it isn't dubstep either, it didn't make my sub want to cry - in fact there's hardly any sub bass whatsoever, it's as if you produced the whole track listening through a pair of £5 headphones

When you say "mastered like crap", what do you refer to? Too little mastering adjustments or too much, or "the wrong" adjustments? I'm honestly not sure about which (I'm really bad at this stuff right now).
As someone who just played around a few hours in FL this still wakes too much of an association with randomly put together sound-bits in me.
Take this with a grain, I don't like dub too much anyway, taking volume in and out and scheduled breaks just sounds a little bit cheap to me but I'm sure a lot of people will like it but I don't.
I liked The Settlement. The rest were okay.
I really like. What program do you use?
FL11
The overall sound is not bad, but it really needs to have more "weight" to it. The drums sound like they're played through a cellphone speaker.

I thought putting the thread here was a really clever play on the EP title, misplacement.
Halfway through the first song now and it's already impressive.
I'm digging this. Also, there seems to be a lot of Hotline: Miami influence in Midnight Manners, am I right in that?

I actually picked up Hotline after I made that track, but the soundtrack did inspire me to work on new tracks.
