• What is Windows 7 Ultimate N and K?

I'm going to download Windows 7 off my dad's MSDN account, mainly because I just built a new rig, and my dad wants to reformat his PC. There are three different version of Windows 7 Ultimate, regular, N, K, and KN. The K version comes with the regular version, and the N and NK versions are seperate. It says the N version doesn't need a key or something, I'm confused. I'll more than likely download regular, but I'm just wondering what the N and K are for. [editline]02:37PM[/editline] There also N and K versions of all the other Win7 versions. I.e. Home Premium N, Professional N, etc.
N for No Media Playback K (Korea) for No Messenger (Not sure why it even still exists) KN for K + N

From what I remember, last time I couldn't download anything off MSDN from Linux.
Really? That's weird. For my MSDN AA account, I had to download a program specific exe and run that to download Win 7

Which is quite a shame, because I had setup Firefox to load the aspx files correctly through the manager and everything.
hah. my friend and I were both just unlucky then. He tried to download it from his mac, and I still got the exe when I downloaded it a few days ago
Then maybe it has to do with my addons or something. Oh well.

There was going to be a Windows 7 E (Europe) that came without internet explorer, but that got scrapped
Whatever happened to that? Did they package it with IE8 or what? I know they ended up losing the case, but did the EU actually enforce it?
