I personally believe that Twitter is clunky and stupid. Everything you can do with Twitter can be done with Facebook in a more organised fashion.
I say atleast 25% are bots or fake accounts, same for facebook.
I like using Twitter as a customized News Feed and for following Game Developers. I think it's great.
i #hate @twitter
My dumb ass country even made "Twittering" (but then in Dutch) an official word... :smith: [editline]8th September 2011[/editline] :suicide:
My dumb ass country even made "Twittering" (but then in Dutch) an official word...
Most countries have, it seems. But that's legitimate imo.
I pretty much just use twitter for movie and game news at this point.
i only use twitter as a mobile news feed.
It's great do you can tell when a game has downtime or hear Garrys android bashing. [editline]8th September 2011[/editline] Fucking useragent
twitter is for hipsters and faggots.
Twitter is a great site if you know how to use it right. It's easy to avoid idiots on the site.
twitter is for hipsters and faggots.
all social networks are for hipsters and faggots. everyone agree
all social networks are for hipsters and faggots. everyone agree
Yeah, I'm a hipster and a faggot for using Facebook to talk to my friends.
Yeah, I'm a hipster and a faggot for using Facebook to talk to my friends.
friends are too mainstream you're a hipster now get rid of them
I quite like twitter actually, It's quite nice to use once you get into it.
I don't like twitter, but seeing as almost every game developer in existence uses it to post important news/updates/info, I'm basically forced to use it. Oh and I really hate the whole trend thing, that's retarded.
Yeah, I'm a hipster and a faggot for using Facebook to talk to my friends.
I'm not serious.
Consisting of tons of people having it only for the sake of having it. Like me for example. I was going to use it as a news feed for art sites. Ended up with subscribing to quite a handful of sites and ended up not using it after 2 days. It's also great to have for sites that requires you to log into Facebook, Twitter or similar sites before posting.
Don't get why people are saying that Facebook and Twitter are for hipsters. They're, like, the most mainstream thing on the internet. By staying away from them and calling them terrible, it's kinda hypocritical since you're doing the most hipster-y thing. Now to wait for the dumbs from people who don't understand what I'm talking about.
I like using Twitter as a customized News Feed and for following Game Developers. I think it's great.
I never thought of doing that, could you give examples of people you follow? (I never used Twitter).
I haven't really used it to communicate with friends, but it's better for reading Tweets by people you could never meet in real life. Like John Carmack has some interesting tweets that are worth reading if you're into that kind of thing. Facebook is good for interacting with people you know, but Google+ is better.
Twitter is a great site if you know how to use it right. It's easy to avoid idiots on the site.
This. You realize how awesome Twitter is when you start using it.
Half of them are people like PoopTickler and MyLittleBrony, just to troll Ghost. Hell even I have one to troll Ghost with on Shoutouts. MyDixieWrecked
To be honest, they are great tools. It's a very passive method of communication and new aggregation. I follow some YouTube people, news feeds, comedians, etc. [editline]8th September 2011[/editline]
And I say with pride that I am not one of them.
It's really a great site if you have a use for the type of communication it excels at. [editline]8th September 2011[/editline]
I personally believe that Twitter is clunky and stupid. Everything you can do with Twitter can be done with Facebook in a more organised fashion.
Not really. Twitter forces people to think and speak in quick compressed forms. Yes, sometimes you have to shorten words. But Twitter is more like a cross between a message board and instant messaging. It's short information streams but documented like posts. [editline]8th September 2011[/editline]
I say atleast 25% are bots or fake accounts, same for facebook.
I'd say more. Probably 40% I'd say. And the next 50% are rare users. Posting for the first week before stopping. The remaining 10% probably tweet regularly or are celebrities.
"Claims". Interesting.
twitter is for hipsters and faggots.
Yeah because something with 100m users isn't mainstream.
Yeah, I'm a hipster and a faggot for using Facebook to talk to my friends.
Explain why you aren't using any apple products.
I've always just thought of Twitter as a website built around Facebook's status update function.
Twit what? [editline]10th September 2011[/editline] I remember when Twitter was just getting popular, all kinds of videos on YouTube would suddenly say ''Follow me on Twitter!''. And now they just put a little logo in the bottom and everyone knows what to do. [editline]10th September 2011[/editline] I suddenly feel like making an account.
