The hardest you've ever been hit by a moment in a movie.

What's the hardest emotional slap in the face, that gets you angry, sad, or extremely happy.
My one has to be from One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, where one of the patients (the name forgets me) is sleeping with a prostitute that they got over for a party while the nurses were away. He then protests, and is dragged off for electroshock therapy. It hit home so hard.
Here's a video
Start at 3:00 if you can't be bothered.
After watching this, I actually wanted to stand up, crawl through my tv and strangle the woman to death.
So what's yours?
I felt pretty emotional after watching Magnolia.
The original Home Alone, pretty much the old guy and just sheer frustration at the idiocy of his brothers and family in general
The rest was :smug: material
District 9.
Despite watching it in the middle of history class, I was just so moved towards the end.
A decidedly excellent film.
Not a movie, though there are those times on Dexter where I had "OMG NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooOoOOOOooooooooooo!" moments.
The Green Mile.

Saving Pvt. Ryan [sp]When Wade called for his mom when he was dying :saddowns:[/sp]
Serenity, when [sp]wash dies[/sp] was extremely jarring.
Schindler's List
[sp] "I could've gotten more. That car, that's 10 more people... and this pin... maybe if I didn't have this pin, that's 2 people... maybe just one... one more person." [/sp]

I kinda felt that way too. When I heard that they were trying for a sequel, I got depressed 'cause I thought it won't be as good.

I was on the edge of my seat for the last quarter or so of the film since I really, really didn't want wikus, or the aliens helping him, to die.
The end of Dancer in the Dark. :ohdear: I was physically unwell, it never happened before to me.
To Kill a Mockingbird, from the trial onward.
curious case of benjamin button, the end
the diving bell and the butterfly, the end
Lord of the Rings the Return of the King where frodo tells sam to go home.
I'll try to find a video on YT.
I read the title as "The hardest you've ever been" since the other half gets cut off on the front page.
The end of 9 was kinda sad. I don't really watch movies that often though.
saving private ryan
where that german guy gets caught and is forced to dig his own grave
I actually felt sick when I first saw it. I was like "Oh man, what the Hell is wrong with him?!"

Moon, Donnie Darko, District Nine. These all got me pretty hard.

Also, try to use spoiler tags, I have yet to see a lot of these movies.
The end of The Mist made me feel like shit. I'm not really one to get emotional, per se, over movies. I'll feel guilt, or sadness, or happiness, or excitement, but nothing out of the ordinary, usually.
I don't know why but for some reason, in kickass, [sp]the scene where Big Daddy dies[/sp] was pretty sad. I'm not sure why...
The hardest was obviously Saving Private Ryan but that's been said a lot.
I know it's not a movie but in the latest episode of The Pacific, when leckie [sp] pops up from a tree shoots about 6 japs, and a little before that when a man commits suicide in their camp[/sp] wasn't really too hard, just made me think you know
Several times in Memento.
District 9 when he [sp]has to shoot the other prawn to test fire the weapon[/sp] :saddowns:
The Simpsons movie when they save Springfield made me happy.
In Shoot 'Em Up when that one guy got shot by that other guy :saddowns:
Schindler's List
[sp] "I could've gotten more. That car, that's 10 more people... and this pin... maybe if I didn't have this pin, that's 2 people... maybe just one... one more person." [/sp]
Always gets me like a dagger in my chest.
In District 9 when[sp]the prawn and Wikus infiltrate that facility to get back the fuel and they find his friend on the operating table. I found it incredibly humbling to feel sadness for fictional race.[/sp]
The end of The Fly was pretty hard hitting.
[sp]Even though Seth tried to force Veronica into the telepod to become the Ultimate Family after melting Stathis's hand and foot in his acid-vomit, when he crawls out of the telepod-melded with some of it's parts-you just feel bad when he 'tells' Veronica to blast him with the shotgun.
