surprised no one. Looks like complete trash, I'd be surprised if it was good tbh
What happened to the FNAF thread in General Games Discussion?
Do we really need it
wasn't much to talk about until the game came out I suppose we could remake it but it wouldn't last long
Hey at least now it isn't gonna come out on my birthday
wasn't much to talk about until the game came out I suppose we could remake it but it wouldn't last long
I don't even have an interest in this game, let alone FNAF in general. I was just wondering what people were saying about it. Don't remake it.
Can't wait for people to act like little shits and yell "EW AN AUTISTIC MEMEGAME AGAIN" when they have either an undertale avatar or something let the dude make what he wants to make for fuck sakes.
If it's a good RPG I may pick it up for the hell of it. Otherwise my FNAF hype has long since passed.
Here’s a quick glance at what FNaF World is all about, as per its Steam page synopsis. “Take control of Freddy and the gang as they set out on a quest in the world beneath worlds,” it reads. “A world that reflects the actions and deeds of the ‘flipside’, where things have started becoming distorted and broken.
So it's Darkseed but with FNAF. Seriously though an RPG doesn't really seem like something you can release as easily as the main series games.
Okay I was for all FNAF and defending it and stuff, but after 4 games, couldn't he make something more original?
you could say this about a huge amount of things. but could you blame him for wanting to make money? if it's what the fans want, then let him make it. if it makes people happy, what's so wrong about it? if you don't like it, don't play it.
What's with Scott and releasing things as soon as he possibly can? There is no way this game is sufficiently polished that he couldn't have used at least some of the whole month he was apparently ahead of schedule for making improvements.
Okay I was for all FNAF and defending it and stuff, but after 4 games, couldn't he make something more original?
it's at least an RPG and not straight up "FNAF 5: The Cameras Have Cameras" or something you could look at it like he's trying to see who's only around for the scarecams and jumpscare shit and who's around to actually support him for his games
I'm honestly fucking amazed a single person on the planet cares about this shit. You know these games only exist because of the stupid fucking fandom. Like, the people on youtube called "GOLDEN FREDDY" subscribed to Markiplier and commenting "IM GONNA STEAL YOUR SOUL" on lets play videos. You can defend the first game if you want but if it wasnt for these people, Five Nights at Freddies would have been cut off a long ass time ago
"Games don't take off without active and dedicated communities'' Yeah that's kinda common knowledge. Sure those people are cringey but I don't get what point you're trying to make other than something obvious
Are you unaware of FNAF's incredibly convoluted backstory? A story of murder and the supernatural that started in FNAF1 and has been expanded upon and further explained within each game? Because it's pretty much entirely what its community surrounds, and most likely the only reason why the series took off the way it did.
I'd hate to be this guy if he misses a deadline. Holy shit he's impatient.
Just like FNAF4, it's buggy, freezes and crashes from what I've read. Also [sp]Apparently someone decompiled FNAF World and found the Box/chest from FNAF4 opened.[/sp]

Scott released the games too soon and he did too many. But anyways I was kinda curious how this game would turn out and it seems it's a complete mess. Dunno, I expected it to be at least fun despite of it coming from an overused "saga".
I wouldnt be trying to argue the fact if I didnt. Of course I am aware. But I dont see how this story is any better or any worse than any other game thats done it. And thats really the only thing you can defend having four near identical games off of, because apart from the four games spelling out the story to the player, they provide the exact same experience each time. And its four games for a rather short story in the end. Theres no backstory behind any specific characters because each game has its group of animatronics that all more or less follow the exact same suite, so apart from the bite of 1987 in general, whats so interesting about it? In fact, making more than 1, let alone 2 games where it explicitly spells out unsolved mysteries, actually ruins that game in my opninion, because the mystery of trying to figure stuff out was the fun of it, then you get questions answered and its like "oh"
Firstly, each game introduced just as many questions as it did answers. The story, to this day, has not been 100% solved because Scot has yet to fully confirm every theory. Secondly, we're talking about 7-8 dollar games here. It doesn't really matter that there were 4 of them. He could've had it all under 1 game and made it 30 dollars and it wouldn't have made a difference. You can't really say FNAF doesn't stand out. There are no other games that do exactly what it does. Creepy patrolling animatronics with this weird pre-rendered artstyle while having to micro-manage your surroundings to survive. I understand not being a fan, because until I heard of the backstory I didn't care for FNAF either, but to say it's nothing out of the ordinary sounds a bit like denial to me.

By that logic Pacman is a meme game, and therefor you are a dumb pacman fanboy loser idiot.
Videogames are a meme
Honestly. After playing the game a bit, it does have a few decent hidden details in it. Shit on FNaF all you want, but the dev really is a nice guy. Shame he has to deal with a god-awful fanbase.
Calling it now: FNAF's refusal to die will bleed into other games, if not Space Hulk Deathwing.
No problem with this personally, the guy's either seeing if he can branch out with the series more, or seeing how far he can push the "fnaf makes money" thing. Either one is perfectly fine, they both make him money and let him try something new gameplay wise

As i've said in the post above yours:
FNAF's refusal to die will bleed into other games
Calling a game series an interactive internet meme is pretty dumb. Scott went overboard since 2014, sure, but there are people that will buy the games and he's more than happy to make them as a one-man team, so I don't see what the big deal is besides his consistent refusal to adhere to his own given release dates. The weirder parts of the fanbase are the real problem, and they're mostly contained in their own shit or harmless for the most part so there's no real reason to gun after them.
I think that Scott Cawthonn is a really nice guy, but i'm just sick of him releasing game after game after game in not even the span of a year. I mean if people like his games then that's fine, but i think that FNAF is the Call of Duty [sp]or the Minions[/sp] of indie video games.
Oh no, Scott can make successful games in a short time span, curse him.
They're simple, short games. Its not like he is releasing huge games back to back.
