Think about getting this game. Please.
Chaos Theory is in my top 5 favourite games of all time.
Chaos Theory is definitely the must buy of the Tom Clancy lot.
Conviction is also pretty good, not so much a stealth game as an action game with stealth elements but honestly I really enjoyed it. If you like the core gameplay there's a lot of lasting appeal in the "Deniable Ops" missions and the single player is short but enjoyable.

Nah it's rubbish
Nah it's rubbish
I dunno, I really enjoyed it - it was great in its mediocrity.
K&L2 was terrible. The art direction and camera stuff was neat and all but I finished the game in two hours and felt no need to go back to it. Not even worth £2.99.
Been wanting to get Rage, but I'm gonna hold off until it's cheaper.
I would definitely recommend the Witcher games to anyone.

Eh. Is it similar to the original? I admit I was horrible underwhelmed.
I'm only remotely interested in The Witcher 2 because it has a relatively high reputation on the net. Could someone please make comparisons to Dragon Age and Skyrim?
I've generally had enough of thin plots and "dark" fantasy, and I'm not interested in polygon on polygon action in any shape or way. Judging from a Let's Play I abandoned somewhere after he flees by ship, the protagonist looks completely bland as does the overall atmosphere and combat. Nothing memorable really.
Anyone care to enlighten me? I don't hold a grudge against the franchise, it just never caught my attention with something other than people shouting "TIIIIIIITS!!!!!!"

End war's also pretty good. It's pretty cookie-cutter in some regards, but I found it enjoyable, even on the Xbox.
K&L2 was so bad it's good

They improved the combat substantially. It's more of an action RPG than the timed clicking in the first game. I found the combat works really well with a gamepad; I haven't really tried it on a keyboard though.
I really liked the story in the first game, and I think the second one is even better.
The graphics are amazing, and the environments are extremely detailed and really well done.

Completely shits all over Dragon Age in pretty much everything (story, atmosphere and dialogues especially). As for Skyrim, completely different type of game so you can't compare really, however if I am to give an opinion, I'll probably play a lot more Skyrim due to mods, but if you go by enjoyment per hour, TW2 destroys it completely (also if it wasn't for mods I'd pick TW2 over Skyrim any day).
That reminds me, release the damn CK already Bethesda.

I have EndWar for the Xbox, it's OK. Not that great though. Unless the PC version is better.
"Buy now" Tom Clancy games:
Rainbow Six 3
Splinter Cell Chaos Theory
Original Ghost Recon
Debatable as "Good", But for their current price they're worth getting:
Splinter Cell Conviction
Rainbow Six Vegas 1 & 2
Rubbish:
Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 1 & 2
Splinter Cell Double Agent
HAWK 1 & 2

It's more like Dragon Age in terms of "open world vs linear" storylines. There isn't a huge world to explore or anything, which is fine for this game. But unlike Dragon Age, the choices you make will actually affect the story.

When drawing comparisons I was more thinking about stuff like "Your companions now all puke rainbows" or "There's a lot more emphasis on dinosaur hunting than tax paying" or "Your character is a lot more item dependent, so if you suck it's probably not your skill that's lacking but your purse."
But thanks for your time.

Right. The Witcher poops all over Dragon Age, but it is more similar in structure to DA than Skyrim.

The combat is really skill based in The Witcher 2.
You have to get really good at dodging and parrying or you're going to die no matter what your gear is.

This is a game that isn't afraid to treat you like an adult. It's a serious tone with a solid story following through.
Honestly, one of the best RPGs I've ever played. The protagonist is not bland, since there's endless amounts of choice throughout the story, which means he plays just as you want him to. The combat is one of the best I've ever seen in any game, period. Each hit feels damaging, and it's really easy and fluid.

Yeah me and him play K&L2 multiplayer. Out of the hundreds of games on my account, I'd rather play a buggy as fuck multiplayer mode because it's so unique and fun.
