If it's Syndicate then they can eat a dick.
Really if it's anything below $30 then they can eat a dick.
Choose from our worst selling titles like every time we give something away as an apology. This makes up for it right? Now stop complaining!
good lord you people are impossible to please

They fucked up. No, they majorly fucked up.
...but they don't owe you anything other than an apology and fixing the servers.
Be glad they're at least giving you something to compensate for their failure - after the servers are fixed it'll be like it never happened and you'll have a free game.
[sp]I don't like EA either, but you bought it knowing full well it had Always-Online DRM.
This shouldn't be an excuse for their servers being complete shit but even Diablo had some problems around launch.
Always-Online DRM is a piece of shit and if you buy the game knowing about the DRM you have little room to complain. Servers WILL fuck up, sad this was so major though.[/sp]
[sub][sub][sub]I'm not saying people have no right to be mad however. I'd be fucking pissed off until they fixed it. Just think of it as a short-term delayed release with the pre-order bonus of a free game.[/sub][/sub][/sub]
[sub][sub][sub][sub]and I mean what did you expect if you bought this? it's EA combined with Online DRM. You have to always assume the worst.[/sub][/sub][/sub][/sub]
Steam is better than EA!!!!!!!
Steam is better than EA!!!!!!!
Comparing a program to a company?:v:
Oh I wouldn't mind redeeming it for BF3 Premium (If they considered that as a game)
Comparing a program to a company?:v:
Well Valve's been talking about splitting Steam off of them, so you never know.
Well Valve's been talking about splitting Steam off of them, so you never know.
Yeah, but that sure isn't going to happen in the next 2 years. Also, they only spoke about it.
They also know how Steam could go into shit, if they aren't responsible for it anymore.
good lord you people are impossible to please
I think having sims city working from day 1 would please people
They should give simcity 4 as a gift so players can play simcity while the servers are down.
good lord you people are impossible to please
No one asked for shitty games as reimbursement. Doesn't feel like one, either.
Comparing a program to a company?:v:
You should read some of the threads about the recent activity of EA. People are absolutely nuts and always compare EA to Valve and Steamworks. It's absolutely annoying.

They also sold a non functioning product, which is illegal in many countries, so yes, they do owe many people something
No one asked for shitty games as reimbursement. Doesn't feel like one, either.
Yeah, fuck EA giving you free stuff, they should kill themselves
They also sold a non functioning product, which is illegal in many countries, so yes, they do owe many people something
Hence why they're fixing the servers???
No one asked for shitty games as reimbursement. Doesn't feel like one, either.
even if they did add an offline mode, you'd still find something to bitch about.
even if they did add an offline mode, you'd still find something to bitch about.
At-least the biggest hurdle is gone then.
Playing a so-and-so game, or no game at all isn't the same
I don't think a working game is too much to ask for?
It's going to be working. You can quote me on that.
It's not like they're going to leave the servers as-is and say "fuck you" to an enormous playerbase. Nobody would or COULD do that.
So what's the qualification? I pre-ordered for 8th but it didn't arrive, so cancelled and bought online yesterday.

you get a free game
you get a free game
I thought they'd be sly and say you needed to have pre-ordered off Origin or before a certain date or something.
So what's the qualification? I pre-ordered for 8th but it didn't arrive, so cancelled and bought online yesterday.

According to Bradshaw, SimCity players who have activated their game will receive an email describing how to get a free PC download game from EA's catalog on March 18th.
Read the article next time, bub. It's right there.
They should get the Digital Deluxe edition for free.
They should get the Digital Deluxe edition for free.
Great way to fuck even more people over.

Pretty sure no one bought the game thinking, "I can't wait to get home, and wait several weeks to play this!"
