Well it doesn't matter to Wii U owners regardless because apparently we don't get online multiplayer at all because "there won't be enough players"
I bet Batman will play sort of like the Predator in the newest AVP, but without the cloak or ability to escape gunfire quickly enough to avoid dying.
It's probably because most of the players are inexperienced, but I do think Batman/Robin should get some stealth buff to help them. Like passive invisibility so players can't just spin the camera around and hope to catch them. The invisibility wears off if they're standing or if a goon actively looks at their spot for a couple seconds. That way, if Batman is hanging off a ledge, a goon can't just spin his camera around and see him. The goon would have to look down the ledge to see Batman.
I remember a similar problem with Snake in Metal Gear Online's modes that involve him. His Octocamo gave him a stealth capability to the point of being able to virtually disappear from sight entirely and not be trackable, but the moment the jig was up you could expect Snake to be quick-shotted with a headshot. Mainly because human players are on a completely different level from the AI. It's no surprise that Batman is suffering a similar issue, sounds like they're literally porting his singleplayer self right now into a gamemode that completely throws singleplayer-style approaches out the window.

Yeah, if that happens, assuming this game is like Arkham City / Arkham Asylum, then batman will almost never win.
If you think about it, in those games the general AI on the ground has to be incredibly dumb not to see you - and on harder modes they will kill you incredibly fast if you don't play just right.
Granted, at least they are letting people see this mode and have time to work on it. Though by the sounds of it they have lots of work ahead of them.
this whole game looks bad, it's not even the same developers so it's hardly the next entry in a series people liked. This is just because they don't wanna make a sequel to Arkham City until the next gen consoles are all out

Wait what?
The game looks fine to me.

Also hey at least it gives Rocksteady more time to do the next Arkham game, right?
Make them like the heroes in Star wars battlefront, overpowered and if you want them dead, people gotta shoot them a lot.
They should just have made it a full on three way, with cops instead of Batman, and then have Batman be their heroish unit in the same way Bane and Joker are.
