A WOMAN who attacked an innocent man after a bogus website claimed he was a paedophile has been jailed. Rachel Ashworth, 28, was part of a 'vigilante' gang who launched a violent assault on the epileptic victim in his own home. She burst into the man's Nelson house with two other men before kicking and punching the victim and smashing a trophy over his head, leaving him unconscious. He was so terrified and traumatised by his horrific ordeal, he has moved from the area, Burnley Crown Court heard. The hearing was told the victim wasn't, and never had been, a sex offender, but had been wrongly labelled an 'active predator' on a fraudulent website called Predators Watch. Police said the website had now been shut down. After her arrest, Ashworth claimed to police that he was a paedophile and it was 'all over the internet.' She boasted on Facebook that she had 'defo found the right one,' that his face would be a mess, she had enjoyed the violence and "I even jumped on his head myself." She declared:" Any paedophile deserves hanging. He's now seeking help with mental issues, suffers panic attacks, his epilepsy has been made worse and he's moved out of the area because he was afraid to stay where he was." Jesus christ.
Where are those videos of the vigilante women with the pink handcuffs attempting to arrest people?
Where are those videos of the vigilante women with the pink fuzzy handcuffs attempting to arrest people?
They're probably on the internet somewhere
Leave the vigilante work to batman, dingus.
They're probably on the internet somewhere
All I'm finding are MRA rant videos...
Where are those videos of the vigilante women with the pink handcuffs attempting to arrest people?
ohgod them. hang on I'll see what I can find. Got em http://www.youtube.com/user/LipstickBail
ohgod them. hang on I'll see what I can find. Got em http://www.youtube.com/user/LipstickBail
...so in addition to the pink handcuffs they have a fleet of pink Hummers covered in cartoon lips and a bail bond service. Is this a joke?
Even if he was, it still wouldn't be justified.
10/10 vigilante work, batman would be proud
10/10 vigilante work, batman would be proud
This is why I concealed-carry.
This is why I concealed-carry.
God forbid that happens... That is a standoff I'd like to see.
10/10 vigilante work, batman would be proud
Weren't those women charged with assault?
This is why I concealed-carry.
I don't quite understand what is happening in the video - those women say they're taking custody of him because his bond was revoked. Does the fact that they're not bounty hunters (though still informed of the situation by the bail bonds company) make this vigilante justice? I'm confused and would appreciate some information about this. You also say that this why you conceal-carry. Are convicted felons still allowed to have a concealed carry permit under US law to actually make this a potentially dangerous situation?
10/10 vigilante work, batman would be proud

Mr. Duvall was injured in the attack, losing vision in one of his eyes due to the rubber bullets shot by one of the agents
holy shit how do they think that's acceptable?

If you watch the video, they don't say whom they are at all to their target nor explain why they're after him. They just assault him and tazer him and pelt him with rubber bullets when he attempts to flee a group of women whom seemingly attack him for no reason out of the blue.
One town over, Jesus tittyfucking Christ. This shits from all those name and shame Facebook pages that get everyone riled up and acting like they are passing on purely official information. Fuck all to do with womens vigilante groups (Dunno why people are bringing them up) From talking to some people and checking Facebook apparently she thought he was living with two children when they went around to attack him, even if she thought she was saving some children she went about it the entirely wrong way. Gotta wonder how many sites list people as convicted when they are not. Shit we even had someone sent down earlier this year for sex with a minor and it turns out the girl is a complete nutcase who accused tons of people of the same thing but because her name was withheld the people who knew she lied never got the chance to point out her history of false accusations.

They basically assaulted him, and anyone CCing who decides to try and stop the situation which looks like an assault on the poor guy rather than a proper arrest would have been totally justified in doing so. Actually, I know that they've done this kind of thing at least twice (they've been in SH at least 2 times) and if they have a record of performing this terribly, it's only a matter of time until one of them gets shot by a citizen who perceives them as the threat (which they are, the way they act) or they actually kill someone, considering they've already maimed that guy.

I thought that they were originally assigned to take him into custody because at the 0:50 mark oft he video, that older looking woman says "....and the bond company wants him in custody" so I thought that they were contracted to do this, but now I see it was just weasel wording on their part.

I don't want to ever look at a site and find my name on there. I wonder if it's possible to sue on grounds of slander and defamation.
Vigilante justice is dumb as heck.
I hope the government gets more serious about catching and shutting the people who make these websites. This is a perfect example of how dangerous slander can be.
Didn't the US had a TV show with this guy called Dog or something the bounty hunter. And he goes around arresting people. Also how does bounty hunting work in the US

The problem is its done at the beginning of the trial for some people so you are listed with guilty people when your trial is still ongoing. Sometimes people merely questioned are listed when rumors start to flare up. You can absolutely sue for defamation but the sites are run by the same types as the EDL, there's next to no money to win and a new site just takes the place within a week.
Didn't the US had a TV show with this guy called Dog or something the bounty hunter. And he goes around arresting people. Also how does bounty hunting work in the US
As far as I know you need to be around a level 3 security guard bare minimum in texas to be one. Other than that you need to take a licensing test and find a bail bondsman to hire you. This is ofcourse an oversimplification of the real process.
God that's just horrible, what a stupid thing to do even if he was an offender, do they think you can just assault people in their homes and if they're a sex offender it's okay? :v:
Didn't the US had a TV show with this guy called Dog or something the bounty hunter. And he goes around arresting people. Also how does bounty hunting work in the US
Basically if someone skips bail, a bail bondsman can pay out a portion of that forfeited bail to capture the person, a bounty hunter gets that portion. Think of all those cases where a persons bail is over a million, seems pretty lucrative huh? Different states have different laws and rules you must follow though.
Women who think they're overly independent are probably the types that think they can pull of vigilante work. Charging at an un-armed man in bright pink and with a fucking tazer is no way of vigilantism.

Maybe someone who had it out for the "pedo" convinced her he was messing with someone she knows and it drove her into a rage. She deserves a prison sentence no matter what.
