Hello.
Yesterday I installed new hardware on my computer including a new SSD Drive which I also installed a clean OS on. (a.k.a. Computer was completely fresh). After downloading one of my current favorite games from Steam (Payday 2) I tried to launch it but it said "Cloud couldn't sync your files" or whatever, you probably have had that error before.
Turning off my computer I thought the error would be gone next day, sadly not, and I'd prefer not having to re-play all my games which had Cloud Saves (Amnesia, Payday... etc.)
Thanks in advance for any help in solving this problem!
Did you download Steam from the website or copy it off your old hard drive? Try deleting the files that end in .blob in the Steam directory
Alright I'll try that and no everything on my new drive is clean install.

I tried deleting my .blob files, did not work.
I also face the same problem when I downloaded the game and was trying to play. When the game starts the option is to either download from cloud or upload. I chose the latter, and after the game started to fire up, I was told it "couldn't sync." So I dropped the game, and tried again. This time, when the game started to fire up, I clicked cancel, and let the upload to cloud run its course without interference. Try this one. I think this will definitely solve the problem. Mine problem was solved.

It says play or cancel, I just hit cancel but nothing has synced yet for three days. :(

your games are saved on the hard drive. Steam also saves a copy of your saves in the "cloud", meaning you can download Steam onto a completely different computer and have access to your saved games there automatically. But since the cloud is broken at the moment, Steam can't do this.
