I've always been hopeful for this game, so now maybe it actually has a chance.
firefall is just become a giant sunken cost at this point. 100m dollars down the drain and i don't know of a single person that has anything good to say about it so far besides the mega64 livestream that is.
I heard Firefall has done a ton of things to try to make an identity for itself but at the end of the day, with all the changes it's gone through, it doesn't really know what it wants to be.
Did they ever change the gear/abilities/combat so it wasn't completely grindy? I remember that being pretty awful when I played the closed beta, but to be fair, that was a very long time ago. Did things ever change? From what I remember, I think the weapons for level 5-10 did barely 15% more damage compared to stock, meanwhile enemies were getting nearly 3x more health. Not just that, but I remember needing tons of materials that, of course, was from a lot of grinding. I quit playing because I didn't really feel like I was progressing.
It's pretty good, fighting to save the world is coming in the next month's update. Not sure when you were playing exactly, enemy difficulties and equipment "levels" were in completely different stages of the game.
i would love to play this more but it ran like shit for me, even with everything on low :( that, and there wasnt a whole lot to do in PvE back when i played, but what there was to do was fun
Why the hell is formatme rating everyone dumb ?
In the past months they've been constantly going back and forth between entirely different progression systems and nothing much else's been going on With developers rushing launches left and right nowadays they're at the exact opposite of the spectrum, here's hoping they'll finally get their shit together
