DULUTH, Minn. (AP) - It's the snowstorm that just keeps on giving. The unrelenting storm has spread about 2 feet of snow in northeastern Minnesota and continued for a third day Wednesday. The heavy snow has contributed to dozens of traffic accidents around Duluth, closed the University of Minnesota Duluth and most other schools in the area and even shut down the Bentleyville holiday lights display. A National Weather Service observer reported 26 inches of snow north of Two Harbors late Tuesday night. Duluth was buried under at least 16 inches. Forecasters say much of the region will see another 8 to 12 inches Wednesday. By the time the winter storm warning ends Thursday morning, snowfall totals could approach 3 feet in some areas.
Snowy source
That's nothing compared to my local 0 inch snowfall every day of the year
UMD was shut down yesterday.. and today.. and probably tomorrow. Because of the snow in Minnesota there have been 160+ crashes between midnight and 10a today... One fatal accident involving a high schooler.
About par for the course with Minnesota.
did this actually happen in duluth we got like half an inch in mankato and had expected to get at least 5 inches or something :(
Winterpeg is getting a bit of this stuff too, ~15-25 cm, but the stuff's also blowing around here in addition.
This is normal for MN / WI not sure why people are surprised
Its nice in the pacific north west, no snow just rain.
meanwhile in Canada *inserts clever image macro here* I hate this rule.. I had such a good one.
This is normal for MN / WI not sure why people are surprised
Well yeah but it just kinda came out of nowhere. Like over where I live there was no snow and suddenly wake up one morning and you can barely get out the front door.
meanwhile in Canada *inserts clever image macro here* I hate this rule.. I had such a good one.
Most IMs are cancer.
Most IMs are cancer.
Most. This one however, was good.
In Mandan, North Dakota, we've already hit about three to four inches of snow. This combined up with the amazing windchill which is like -20 or something by now, has created massive amounts of ice under the snow which is a literal deathtrap for anyone not wearing boots.
Most. This one however, was good.
It's an image macro, right? It's cancer by definition. Physically impossible for it to be good.
This is normal for MN / WI not sure why people are surprised
maybe, just maybe, because not everyone lives there
It's an image macro, right? It's cancer by definition. Physically impossible for it to be good.
This is true.
I love snow. I wish it would snow here sooner, last year we didn't have snow til like Christmas.
In north texas it got up to 80 today, and forecast is like 35 tomorrow. Sure that's what texas does but it's especially wild this year
did this actually happen in duluth we got like half an inch in mankato and had expected to get at least 5 inches or something :(
I live in Duluth and there's about 16-18 inches outside. It's pretty bad and still snowing. Anyone in Northeast Minnesota see thunder yesterday while it was snowing? It looked pretty sweet.
I'm in Florida. Can you guys share
I remember a few years ago when we got three snow days in a row because we got like four feet of snow.
Meanwhile in the UK: One inch snowfall
I'd actually rather have my -20 and 25cm snowfall, thanks.
Dude we should mash our countries together. That'll level out to a neato 20, and we'll both be safe because your bears will be too busy fighting the spiders.
What the fuck Ohio has no snow WE ARE THE STATE WITH TOO MUCH RAIN AND SNOW GODDAMN IT
If I remember correctly, the US gets like a billion inches of snow every year as the temperature falls to -273 celsius, until the summer where the sun engulfs you and the temperature rises to 90 trillion fahrenheit. Life must be hard in the states :v:
Its nice in the pacific north west, no snow just rain.
and when we do get snow it isn't ever fuckcrazy amounts, just an inch or two
