Not a big fan of the song, but the video is pretty creative. The effect, however, confuses me. I don't see how they are able to pan that far and have composite copies of the rappers added in post. Wouldn't that require a camera to pan the exact same way at least 3 times while they run each take? That was one theory I read about. Personally, however, I have a theory that they actually have 3 cameras which begin where each ends in terms of field of view. They basically stitched together each camera angle in AE into one huge long shot which they zoomed in and panned in post (hence the huge letterboxing, the aspect ratio would be hugely disproportional). In reality, there was actually no panning on set. It was all just still camera with multiple takes of the rappers. Alternatively, maybe they have a panoramic camera which has a huge field of view of at least 180 degrees and they did the same thing, just shot a few takes and used simple masking to composite the shots together so it appears as if the rappers have doubled and whatnot. Am I on to something?
guessing some sort of green screening but don't take my word on it, i don't know much about stuff like that

They ran through the whole thing however many times and then edited them all together. There's been many different techniques developed to get the camera to pan the same way each different time, and it's relatively easy.
