I have a couple hundred hours on KF1, I didn't max out all the perks... for the looks of it, I'm gonna spend THOUSANDS of hours on this one!

I'm really diggin' the gun sounds and overall look and feel of them, they look super satisfying to use!
New Boss sounds like a scientist of some kind. Toxic nades and the voice when he spawned.
Looks like they completely ditched the new dismemberment system.. Plus using melee looks really unsatisfying

But they haven't? It's easier to see it in that PC Gamer vid than the first one. You can clearly see a Bloat severing into multiple pieces in the first video too.

I mean there's a video of a crawler jumping in mid air, the guy shotgun'd him and his body split in two.
wow, that was 5 minutes of literally fluff.
Hey this game; it's like so much new all this stuff is like so polished now, it's so polished that like, everything is like so much better polished.
yeah I can look at ten seconds of the video and figure that shit out.

Bloats always seem to die that way though, all the other enemies had minor gibbing. Disappointed
Rate me dumb if you like to sleep with your mother.
[editline]7th April 2015[/editline]
Also the dickheads over at PC gamer camped the entire match, what fucking losers.

Idk man, the gibbing system still looks pretty swanky in my opinion. Also who in the world pissed in your cereal for you to get so upset over the video? Yeesh, it ain't that big of a deal, y'know?
Look certainly improved compared to the first one.

They played with the devs who directed what they were doing, not to mention they moved around different areas. If you think constantly moving between places 24/7 is the way to play you're gonna end up dead real fast. It's impossible to properly keep track of which zones zeds are coming from if you're all moving around a lot.

I thought the dev's goal with the new game was to force players to move, what with the persistent destroyed doors and such.
My general impression of KF2 is that it's going to feel less like a slightly clunky mod and more like a fully budgeted game.

epic, dude! I'm sure you won't get dumbed anymore after that. And yea, bloats dont have many ways they can die, because it seems that they put the most effort into clots and cyst deaths.
My only pet peeve about KF2 is the trader's voice actress... what happened to the previous one? She had a gorgeous accent!
[editline]7th April 2015[/editline]
And no "doshhhhhhhh grab it while it's hot!" "money money moneeeyyyyy" funny quips :(

Pretty much this for me as well.
With the game coming out in Early Access though, I'd say expect a lot of bugs like most Tripwire initial releases, only they have Early Access for an excuse as to why.
Game looks fun, and with how much they've apparently improved melee, I think I'm going to start off being a Berserker.

Honestly, I like that the voice acting is a bit more serious. The cheesy voice acting in the first game felt like something they did on their lunchbreak as a placeholder and never switched out.

Hmm yea, I guess I've gotten used to it.

The KF1 voice acting has quite a charm to it, and I will miss it personally, but we need something new and different. KF2 needs to stand out from KF1, and keeping the same voice acting will make that pretty much impossible. That, and the quality of the voice acting is admittedly pretty sub-par, so that wouldn't gel well with the vast amounts of high quality in the rest of the game. It would just feel awkward to those who never played KF1.
That all being said, I'm sure if the community is vocal enough about how much they want KF1 style voices back, Tripwire will probably add an option in at some point. Even if that doesn't happen, I'm sure there will be mods that make KF1 voices a thing.

A fair few video game professionals seem to still be confused about this whole professional thing, we never really have a proper standardized way of talking about technical terms and recurring mechanics so you just have critics and journalists repeating the word 'polished' over and over and over.
It's really frustrating.

Lol, calm down dude.

Wrong. Stick and move has been HoE standard since the mode was introduced, now everybody gets to do it.
Is there actually anything new to the game that does not involve fighting waves of mobs? Objective maps maybe? Maybe even linear progression ones?

if you just bunkered down in a single spot in hoe you'd be dead in 2-3 waves.

there are objective maps in kf so there are bound to be objective maps for kf2.
Somebody knows how good of a computer you will need to play it?
If you can run red orchestra 2 decently you should be fine.
Somebody knows how good of a computer you will need to play it?
runs on a modified ue3 so probably not much.
I wish they would do something about the bullets in the game, they never really felt quite right. Like the guns animation and sound would make it real but when you saw that little bb of a tracer go out, land in something and there be next to no reaction to what you hit. With the exception of the dismemberment hits, when ever you would hit something or miss and hit the environment there was little reaction to it. just the sticker, no super particles or loud ding.
Looks like they completely ditched the new dismemberment system.. Plus using melee looks really unsatisfying
Uhh, are we going to miss the fact that a Berserker blows off the torso of a Scrake in the PC Gamer video?
My opinion is quite contrary to yours, it looks fucking awesome.
