Lego store in this spring at Oakridge Centre. Located in the West Galleria by Safeway, the store is scheduled to open on April 15. “We have a lot of families that shop here and we haven’t always had a ton of offerings for them,” said Karina Perkins, marketing director of Oakridge Centre. “Lego is one of those stores that have universal appeal to anyone.” The Lego Group would not confirm the opening of the store on Monday. However, on Dec. 12 it released a job posting on the company website for a store manager in Vancouver. According to the posting, this one-stop shop for Lego lovers will include free monthly mini builds, in-store play and Lego club meetings, according to the posting. Perkins noted the store will be similar to those in other Canadian cities which offer Pick A Brick walls featuring Lego elements in a variety of colours and shapes in bulk and an interactive play area designed for hands-on play. Lego has one store in Calgary and two in Toronto.
**WHIPPED CREAM** It sucks that it's going to be the smallest of the bunch but HOLY SHIT I CAN BUY IN BULK NOW!
I freaking love Legos. One of the greatest inventions ever, in my opinion.
I freaking love Legos. One of the greatest inventions ever, in my opinion.
LEGO, not legos. LEGO is plural as well as singular.
Give me one in Northern Ireland and I'll be happy.
Just another thing to add to my ever-growing list of: Reason to move to Canada.
LEGO, not legos. LEGO is plural as well as singular.
Does it freakin matter?
Just another thing to add to my ever-growing list of: Reason to move to Canada.
They have LEGO stores in New York too...
Does it freakin matter?
In a thread about LEGO, yes.
In a thread about LEGO, yes.
legos
Do they have the silver one?
We need a Lego store in the states. Seriously, if we had one here in Phoenix, I would go there every time I got a paycheck :v:
Oh fuck my mother loves this things. She always buys Indiana Jones and Pirates of the Carribean sets if she sees them.
I remember them being expensive as hell sometimes.
LEGO, not legos. LEGO is plural as well as singular.
Haha, no.
Haha, no.
if you say "box of LEGOs" you're saying it wrong.
if you say "box of LEGOs" you're saying it wrong.
Unless you're the CEO of LEGO I don't think anyone should care if you say legos
This thread is full of pedantics.

I fucking love legos! Legos are the best toy in the world. When I was a kid, I'd play with legos all the time. Legos legos legos.
I love lego stores, it's full of fun bricks I can have fun building with. I bought about 5 LEGO sets last year, and I'm planning on buying a Mindstorm set. LEGO = Company or associated with LEGO LEGO bricks/blocks = those bricks we know and love
I find it funny that people insist the proper way to say it is "LEGOS" even though I don't seen to be able to recall any situation, document, product box, manual, or anything else by the company itself calling them that. They've always said LEGO.
are we really complaining about how we should say a name?? it's lego or if you're trying to say I have 3 lego's, then it's lego's. not I have 3 lego.
and I'm planning on buying a Mindstorm set.
Mindstorms is so fun. I just wish I wasn't limited to 3 motors on a single computer brick. Also for anyone thats been to a lego store: Do they sell the sensors separately there?
are we really complaining about how we should say a name?? it's lego or if you're trying to say I have 3 lego's, then it's lego's. not I have 3 lego.
Have you ever heard about uncountable nouns? Is it that hard concept to grasp that LEGO is an uncountable noun? It's like oil, or flour, or cheese.
I grew up with LEGO, and still have a ton of them I mean 10-20 large moving boxes full and still some in the attic and basement at my old house (which I will be going back for before it is sold). My brother bought one of the 1600 piece starter kits for one of those adopt a child for Christmas things, from what I hear he really enjoys them.
