I'm trying to find a good movie that suits my tastes. But they are hard to come by, so I figured I'd just make a thread about it.
What I'm looking for is movies like 'Alien', 'The Thing', 'The road', etc. etc.
I'd prefer them to be from the 70's and forward.
Thanks in advance.
Event Horizon
I Am Legend?
Serenity
Already seen all of those. :v:
Keep the suggestions coming.
Blade Runner
Dark City
Metropolis, fuck your after the 70s rule

Only Mad Max 2 or 3, the original's awful.
Threads is a good choice for an apocalyptic movie night with The Road.

I just watched the first for the first time the other day and it's not too terrible, but it's a far cry from the second. Netflix needs to get it's fucking shit together and release 2 for streaming. 3's already up, but I want to watch the second again first.
OT, Planet of the Apes is great, sure it's from the 60s but Charlton Heston is a great actor.
Dawn of the dead
Moon
If you haven't seen 2001: A space odyssey you should see it, it's pretty visually entertaining.
Doomsday
:downs:
Moon, I love that film.

what the fuck.
You could read a book...
LOL
but seriously I heard that Solaris by Stanislaw Lem was a really good scifi.
I second Children of Men.

Pandorum maybe?
I don't know, it's a sci-fi horror, it wasn't that great but it's worth watch. I don't know about the post apocalyptic part but I guess you could say that since [sp]there's only so many humans left on a derelict space ship.[/sp]
Not a crucial spoiler but more of the premise of the movie, but I figured I would tag it anyway.
iRobot, mate.
Aye, I watched this film when I was a wee laddie. I remember the amazement of the movie, I did.
