The human race has gotten past the hunter/gatherer model. Now we are in the civilization model. What's the next model? Space colonization?
Playing too much Spore eh?
We go to the center of the universe and receive the staff of life obviously.
Playing too much Spore eh?
No, I saw this guy being interviewed by Jon Stewart on The Daily Show. He talks about civilization and what's next. I'm thinking about getting his book, but I want to know the name of the next model. BTW, I love The Daily Show and The Colbert Report.
A possible way from now on is either Earth's downfall > Citys flooded > New technology like floating citys > All earth flooded > 2nd Ice Age > Humans GTFO of earth > MARS COLONIZATION! Or Earth's peak > Moon colonization > Factory purposes only > Earth becomes to crowded > Rush to mars > Take up citys there > huamns reproduce more > All of the moons minerals a ka-put > The end.
Well, seeing as the sun is threating to destroy us there is only one thing in our future. WAR WITH THE SUN! WE SHALL DESTROY THE SUN BEFORE IT GETS US!

Technological Advancement and Space Exploration! The last of the great frontiers on earth are gone. The next "Great West" is obviously space. It's uncharted, unknown, and the only other place we can possibly expand into. We've created new life in our laboratories and have achieved a manner of intelligence so far above any other creature native to this planet where we are able to understand Galaxies and Stars. We've even created our own life! Our Medicine is nearly mastered, and the only thing stopping us from giant space ships and lasers is our energy limits. World scientist leaders predict about 30ish years before a self-sustaining reactor is developed (so says the Discovery Channel). After we discover a limitless/positive power source there is nothing stopping us from ripping the panel off the universe and using it to our advantage. Humans will eventually modify their genetic DNA and move into space through a slow process. (Unless something else pushes us to work faster towards leaving Earth) That is... if we are ever able to truly overcome the obstacles of Space and Time. 1LY is a LOOOOONG ways.
I hate to say it but I think we've almost reached our limits. Soon, only way to go will be down.
I honestly think that our governments have a plan for us. They all know about the climate crisis, and if they didn't have a plan, they would freak out. Our governments are probably not worrying too much about it because maybe we are on the verge of some new technology?
