Under the new policy, fans will be allowed to bring one bag into stadiums and that bag must be clear and not exceed 12 inches by six inches by 12 inches. Chanel, Prada and Gucci might not be on board with the new policy, which will prohibit purses from NFL stadiums. Small clutch bags are still permitted, as long they're no bigger than "the size of a hand."
http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/blog/eye-on-football/22404404/nfl-implements-new-bag-policy-leave-the-purses-at-home
Land of the Free* Home if the Brave* *Subject to terms and conditions
I think that is to prevent any 5-month bombs from being permitted into the stadium.
People who want to commit a crime will find a way to do it. This does jack shit except criminalizing innocent people.
Land of the Free* Home if the Brave* *Subject to terms and conditions
Like that's not a broad generalization or anything. :downs:
I think that is to prevent any 5-month bombs from being permitted into the stadium.
i doubt this was a bomb prevention measure most likely people were sneaking in drinks or food, things which the stadium makes money off of by overpricing them, and thus by doing this they can ensure people are forced to buy from their concessions they're basically turning away their cheap customers who would rather stay at home to watch the game inexpensively than be forced to pay for expensive, shitty food. obviously not a very wise commercial choice
Thank you, NFL, next time I go to Lambeau Field I don't have to get smacked by Fatty McSmellyass and his 20 ft backpack
Land of the Free* Home if the Brave* *Subject to terms and conditions
The NFL is a private organization , they are free to make there own rules this has nothing to do with the government.
The NFL is a private organization , they are free to make there own rules this has nothing to do with the government.
Hence why he said. "*Subject to terms and conditions"
Hence why he said. "*Subject to terms and conditions"
He's acting like this is related to the government though, when it's entirely unrelated.
Ugh, this will prevent absolutely nothing, and piss off a lot of people.
I think that is to prevent any 5-month bombs from being permitted into the stadium.
This was a Dark Knight Rises joke.

but muh six-packs. How will I smuggle muh booze in now???
maybe the NFL want make it harder for people to bring in food so they have to pay the extra prices at the food stand
Being a Vikings fan that's been to dozens of games, its doubtful that this will be enforced. Half the time they can't be bothered to frisk me.
but muh six-packs. How will I smuggle muh booze in now???
I've heard of some people who've gotten away with just lifting their beer up as you're searched. It is so fucking obvious they may not even notice.
They have to be careful what you bring into a sports ground. The occasional hooligan can weaponise anything.
People who want to commit a crime will find a way to do it. The CEO of Turner Broadcasting said that people who fast forward past commercials or leave the room to piss during an ad break are thieves, so it's not too far off.
I thought this was to prevent fans from mocking the team with paper bags over their head at first. Will still kill that trend off though - too bad. The Lions ones from 2008 were particularly memorable.

You know what the most annoying thing about TV is, and one of the main reasons people are shifting from TV to things like Hulu? Commercials. In the states, we'll run 20 minutes of commercials, give or take, every hour. 5 to 7 minutes of your show, 5 to 7 of commercials, the entire show. It's ridiculous. And on our cable bills, you should see what your total comes from. There's 20 god damn 'fees' TV is the only place where you pay an expensive monthly subscription and you still get bombed with more advertising than porn websites. We aren't the thieves...
Gives me another good reason to just stay at home and watch it on TV.

Terrorists will probably just find another way to infiltrate the stadium. All this does is make watching a game live inconvenient.
People who want to commit a crime will find a way to do it. This does jack shit except criminalizing innocent people.
It just makes people become more creative to crimes making it harder on people stopping crime.
