Nice, how far does the wifi go? Are you exploring possibilities of other wireless internet technologies (Like microwave) for longer distances and for a paid / higher quality service? Are you running some filtering or QoS so that one user can't slow down the service for everyone?

Nope, just an AP. Like your home. All it says is Free, it's unsecured and p2p is disabled because I don't have the bandwidth for it. I get about a 14-20km range on the higher channels. and yes, qos is enabled 190kbs down and 90 up. And as for the paid stuff, I'm not looking into that right now.

Nah, they seem to be keeping to themselves... I bought an AK-76 a couple of days ago, hopefully the counter-strike training pays off...
holy flippin fuck

It took a good week alone to clean the cobwebs and shit out of it, another 2 figuring out where I could buy the proper ballasts, and about 3-5 days in configuring it for wifi. (b/g/n/j/x) 802.11-803.17
How much do you spend on power to provide this service ? :o
Thankfully theres a on site generator, I just run that for 3 -5 hours, charge the APU and then sit back in terms of power. It costs me about $113 a week in gas (Cummins)

AFAIK AnchorFree has a service, which "injects" advertising into the users browsing session, and paying you depending on how many clicks and/or sees the advertising.
It should be easy to setup on a Access Point / Router.
http://www.anchorfree.com/publishers/providers.php
Might wanna Google it for more info, or send them a E-mail about it.
