Don't you still need to get it on the Windows store?
I was actually thinking about doing so at one point, though the inability to transfer UWP apps between machines is a fatal flaw.

Yeah, which also means no steam workshop
backup/restoring UWP games are still pretty finicky though, apparently just placing windowsapp folder in it's appropriate destination and starting the download just works. which makes a little bit of sense in some things I've seen myself, but no official support makes it very tedious
Didn't even know this had coop.

I actually tried to do that with Shadow of War, though the files couldn't be copied at all. I might end up getting this game on Steam just so that i don't have to re-download a 100GB game across multiple systems.
The Steam version of the game won't have the same functionality, sadly (although it will have the Steam workshop for mods, which is a bonus).
I rather take Steam Workshop over Microsoft Store bullshit.
I would probably avoid the game completely if it was only released on the MS Store.
It's great that they're starting to take PC seriously

Yeah, permissions for Windows apps folders are always a little bit weird, I usually just open 7zFM as administrator, because I don't like to fuck with Windows' folder permissions and break everything.
They've added being able to put large apps on other drives thank fuck, but they're still really new and still offer a relatively sub par experience...
Which I why I only use it when I the content is worth it, or it's platform restricted.
The plus side if you own the game already digitally on Xbox you get it for free on PC thru the MS store
