SEOUL – North Korea has tested short-range missiles in the Sea of Japan (known as the East Sea in Korea), in an apparent attempt to counter-act joint U.S.-South Korean military exercises, South Korean news agency Yonhap reported.
“North Korea test-launched a short-range missile in the East Sea [Sea of Japan] this afternoon, amid the ongoing security crisis on the Korean peninsula following Pyongyang’s third nuclear test last month,” Yonhap news said.
The source, Yonhap said, was a military source within the South Korean government. The North Korean military launched two KN-02 short-range missiles into international waters, the report said.

KN-02 missiles are mobile missiles. Based on the Soviet-era OTR-21 Tochka, they are launched from the back of SCUD-like trucks and, of all North Korean missiles, they have the shortest range, as the above BBC infographic shows.
for those rating late, can you re-direct me? apparently despite me searching i didn't search hard enough.

The great leader tells me the west are causing this as they are escalating tensions.
Good thing they are pointy. If they are not pointy, they don't stick in ground and go boom.
Shit, I'm actually getting worried.
I feel sorry for the guy put in charge of the nodong missles. He must be feeling really inadequate.
We're gonna fuck you up, soon as we make sure we have the ability to..
I know they only got caught testing short range missiles, but still doesn't make their threats meaningful.
lol 10km range

oh wait no the graph has a retarded way of making it "clear" that it's in the 000's, coulda just said x1000, DANG
I love how facepunch laughs at this, from the way people talk I can see a UK population from here.
Imagine you had UK troops there "incase" instead of the US, it's not such a funny story.
We all literally went from "lol" to "ok lad, plz stop"
If NK ever did pull insanity out of it's ass America would call it's best buddy in and your family who's currently fighting the taliban would all of a sudden have to fight someone real.
How would you feel lads?
Legit, it's easy to insult and say they'll do fuck all from behind a keyboard, but what if it's your brother that gets called in "just incase"
The UK military always has Americas back, Cos' were fucking bros !
If anything comes from this, people are always going do die, Be they Soilders or Korean citizens.
Everyone is going to lose lads.

same shit different day.
The thing which worries me the most is not them trying to launch their weapons (although that is still incredibly worrying), but giving nuclear material to terrorists so they can make dirty bombs and hit major cities from within them.
that missile is as big as a building, is that really necessary
that missile is as big as a building, is that really necessary
Of course it is. Have you ever tried to destroy western civilization with anything smaller than a block of apartments? Can't be done.

It's compensation.
Taepodong is pronounced in Norwegian "ta på dong" which means "touching dong"

south korea has conscription
any british soldier who gets pulped by an IED however has no one but themselves to blame
So wait, they can afford nuclear missiles but not electricity ?
Is Kim Jong-un secretly Ghandi ?

Is someone's life worth more than another person's simply because they're from the same country I'm in?
No, of course not, stop being such a nationalistic twat

I'm pretty sure people that go into the military don't want to be blown up by an IED.

Soldiers volunteer to die, green grocers don't.

I forget how anti-military FP is.
I'm sorry, but if my soldiers are going to be overseas, helping a foreign country. I'm going to care about my nations soldiers more than I am theirs. Just because we don't have conscription doesn't mean that they deserve to die, or willingly be marched into a mine field because they enlisted.
