The article pretty much boils down to the fact that they got the wrong kid. The also say that the chance of finding him is slim.

better than nothing (or reading dutch when not familiar with it)
real detectives: not much better than internet detectives, apparently.
Friend of mine goes to school in Leiden, updated his FB that cops and news vans are circling his school like a bunch of sharks.
Thats great wow. I go to school in Leiden, however it's not one of the schools that has been closed yesterday. Still kinda scared about this whole thing though.
The security measure at my school existed of this one unarmed security gaurd who was hanging out outside of the school, covering only one of the 2 entrances.

How about this for an English translation of the OP:
'Suspect of the threat in Leiden not caught'
The suspect that's now in custody for placing a threatening message about a shooting on a school in Leiden, is not the suspect. "The chance that he's the one who placed the message, is not that big", says mayor Henri Lenferink.
That is why there is still a certain threat in Leiden, Lenferic told NOS Radio 1 News on Tuesday. "There are multiple signs to show this. We know a bit more about the person who placed this. We strongly suspect this is done from Costa Rica."
The mayor did not want to elaborate on that statement. "I need to watch out what I'm saying" he says. "The heightened threat is still here, but less than on Sunday."
Correct Decision
"We consulted the experts. We did not have much time on Sunday. We need to judge soon." Lenferink also said. "In a few days, when we are done with the case, we will be able to tell wether or not this was the right decision."
The suspect was arrested on Sunday evening, and made public on Monday-afternoon.
Tracks
A spokesman of the police of Haaglanden says there is no certainty that the threats were sent from Costa Rica. "We followed the trace until there, but the investigation is still ongoing. There is a large chance he used a proxy-server, which might keep his location covered."
Underage
The police and the mayor of Leiden don't want to say more about the apprehended suspect than that he's a underage boy and that they are investigating wether or not there are more people involved.
On Monday schools in Leiden remained closed, after the police sent out an alarm about someone that sent a message on the internet that threatened schools in Leiden.
On Tuesday all the schools were open again. A lot of police and security are present.
Jeugdzorg
The suspect is also known at Jeugdzorg. (an official organisation that helps youth with problems) This was reported by a spokesman of Jeugdzorg on Monday.
The ex-student of the British School in Voorschoten is part of the volunteered assistance, a department that helps (among others) youths with psychological problems.
Jeugdzorg say they waits until the investigation reaces more progress before they say anything further. The prosecution does not want to say anything about the case, except for that the the suspect is an underage boy.
Concerned parents
The Driestar College in Leiden got a number of phonecalls on Tuesday of worried parents that are scared of letting their children go to school.
The parents are not convinced the situation is safe after Monday's developments.
"We stimulate the parents that call to say their children will go to school", says principal Geert Snoep. "Otherwise the bar will only raise. We estimate that most of the students will go to school."
The principal says he agrees on the fact that the threat level has been lowered. The school, with 450 students does not take the event lightheartedly. Snoep wil first have a conversation with the teacheres. In the classrooms the teachers will talk about the subject for the first few hours of the day.
Meanwhile the real culprit:

too many proxies
I'm wondering how everyone in the last thread that wouldn't stop screaming "I told you this would happen" is faring.
This is exactly what I was expecting when I read that they had caught that guy. 10/10 police work

Not true.
FP found the guy who scammed the site out of $36.
What if the culprit was from another town and did it for a friend its the perfect crime
They upped the security at my school today. They went from one unarmed security guard to three unarmed security guards.
Why they are unarmed after a shooting threat is beyond me though. Seems a bit useless.

A bomb threat was called in at my school yesterday, they told us after it had happened while class was still going on in the surrounding buildings.

I still know that guy's password to just about everything :v:
