Valve sure seems to suddenly give a fuck.
Perhaps they are trying to figure out how to make a better counter strike 4 (would the next cs be 4?)... maybe...
Perhaps they are trying to figure out how to make a better counter strike 4 (would the next cs be 4?)... maybe...
Even if you for some reason considered source CS2 the next would be CS3. [editline]9th August 2011[/editline] But really, the next would be CS2.
there goes the mid-air kill "frag videos". :ohdear:
you know that counter strike is serious business when such small changes are on a beta update first
CSS has a beta? Well, shit.
Weapons are now significantly less accurate while jumping
I don't see the need for this and if anything it will just make the game worse.
CSS has a beta? Well, shit.
There's only been a beta for about a year now
I don't see the need for this and if anything it will just make the game worse.
It's always been like that. They increased the accuracy a few patches ago so I guess they're tweaking it.
Expected that you can now wear different helmets and such.
Expected that you can now wear different helmets and such.
No hats in my Counter-Strike, please.
you know that counter strike is serious business when such small changes are on a beta update first
there's typically a massive backlash from the CS community whenever anything gets changed for any reason ever
there's typically a massive backlash from the CS community whenever anything gets changed for any reason ever
Honestly, I'm not really sure why Valve bothers trying to change CS:S. Literally every fan of the game that I've met would much rather it stay exactly how it is (or was, rather, before that one really big update sometime back).
Everyone gets riled up but then they either shut up or deal with it or leave, which is good all around.
there goes the mid-air kill "frag videos". :ohdear:
I can still do 540 noscope headshots so no big deal.

I'm an idiot.........again. I thought all they were doing was porting it to the Orange Box, not making a second one. I am still amazed at how popular CS and CS:S is after all these years of better games, but they DO have a dedicated (rude and immature) fanbase.

To be honest I thought the huge ass Orange Box update a while back made CS:S a more welcoming game, it actually got me playing it for a while :U
To be honest I thought the huge ass Orange Box update a while back made CS:S a more welcoming game, it actually got me playing it for a while :U
I think the achievements and stat tracking make it more enjoyable than it was in years.
I can't imagine Counter strike trying to have a sequel now though. I mean with Battlefield and COD fighting for the top shooter, Valve would have to go to some extreme lengths to make it popular.

Maybe go TF2 style and make comics, add a story, etc.
I can't imagine Counter strike trying to have a sequel now though.
if valve made a cs sequel, it would need constant updating like tf2 (new items, headgear, etc) or people will probably stick to css and 1.6
The majority will move on to what is newest because it has the purdiest graffix and most accurate aiming and hitboxes (in most cases). Only the self-proclaimed uber pros that doesn't want to re-learn all their superior master skills and exploits for a new remake will stick to CSS or CS 1.6 and then everyone that wants to masturbate in glory how much better everything was(n't) in the old days.
Even if you for some reason considered source CS2 the next would be CS3. [editline]9th August 2011[/editline] But really, the next would be CS2.
and then valve would have sequels for nearly all of their games [editline]11th August 2011[/editline]
I'm an idiot.........again. I'd rather say more popular.
I really enjoy the light-weight feel of the Source engine in Counter-Strike Source - (Well, just like in CS).
