this is extremely good. The file size limit was the only thing holding workshop back for skyrim mod authors.
"Mods will be downloaded and managed from the Steam client after it goes live, instead of the launcher downloading them from the Steam Workshop." Woah. That's heavy.
So this means those total conversion mods can be finally be uploaded to the workshop
There were a ton of mods for Paradox Interactive games that were 1 or 2 megabytes over the limit, this is great [editline]Today[/editline] Of course if this goes elsewhere. Sorry, post got cut for some reason
So this means those total conversion mods can be finally be uploaded to the workshop
Not only that, but shit like SMIM won't be split into 3 parts, which actually matters since Skyrim has a maximum limit of 255 mods active IIRC.
eat shit nexus
probably being pessimistic but I'm waiting for the day somebody decides they want to ruin the fun and upload a 5tb mod or something
Shame they didn't do this earlier because people have already settled into the Nexus.
Shame they didn't do this earlier because people have already settled into the Nexus.
People pretty much settled into the Nexus for Skyrim mods before the game even came out. It's an established spot for Bethesda game mods, and it's going to be hard to dethrone them.
this is extremely good. The file size limit was the only thing holding workshop back for skyrim mod authors.
Well, that and SKSE.
Too late for that, unfortunately. Some modders might pick this opportunity to port their mods to Workshop, but in most cases no one will give a shit. Plus the already established modders' opinion of Workshop as a pain in the ass.
but where else will I get my tentacle rape mods?
and very very awful female "body modifications"?
I don't want to know why you know this.
If you spent 10 minutes in the TES thread you'd know a day doesn't go by without making a joke about it.
NMM and Nexus are just a lot more reliable. It gives a lot more freedom even if it is confusing at first.
NMM and Nexus are just a lot more reliable. Which sounds like a bad thing, until you get to modlists big enough that you have to start using separate programs to merge leveled lists and stuff, which is a situation where you're going to want absolute control over what mods and what versions of mods you have loaded.
and very very awful female "body modifications"?
Only one of those I have is the one which makes the male armor sets on the women as well. Tired of boob armor.
I don't want to know why you know this.
Google "Skyrim sex mod" and bam, it immediately pops up. (Mainly because the framework used to make all these sex mods was made there) [editline]4th March 2015[/editline]
NMM and Nexus are just a lot more reliable.
Thanks for telling me where to get my porn.
Loverslab: Where all your wildest and most fucked up fantasies will already have been made for Skyrim and are probably compatible with eachother. Note: this is all just from common knowledge gained by going to the TES thread and sometimes going there to get mods that are for some reason not available on Nexus anymore, like Glass UI.

They make it very clear they will ban for literally any reason they can come up with, doubly so if you dare try to give criticism that isn't completely 100% positive. Or just don't comment on anything. Can't ban you if you say nothing, although I'm sure they could find a way if pressed.

My first Nexus account, never commented, only uploaded one really terrible Oblivion mod. Banned because apparently this Russian guy with like 4 accounts also had one that was only accessed in Vermont, I think maybe even in New Hampshire when I was at a friends place once, while the other 4 were all in Russia. Oh, and if your name is something like Pimp4503, you'll get banned. But you upload big titted naked whores in all the towns and cities you can have sex with? That's fine. But pimp as a name? Oh heavens no! Think of the children!
