• Goshdarnit Sources! [Cydia Problem]
    4 replies, posted
It all started when I began to add new sources for my iPod Touch, 32GB, 2nd Gen. I installed "All Sources", but when I saw all the sources I didn't need, I quickly began to delete them. That brought me another problem: You see, now I can't update any sources without getting the Host Unreachable or Cached Failure error. So I decided: I better re-install all the default sources, such as Modmyi, BigBoss and especially ZodTTD. But now, I can't even install those. I try to install them, but it just gives me a bunch of errors, stops at the "setting sourcenamehere (number)" and generally doesn't stops downloading release.gpg, releases and packages. Now here's where things get fucked up for me: when I finally go through all these mothafucking errors... It says to me that the source was installed. I go to Manage > Sources but, no! The source isn't there. I am trying to find a way to reset back the old default sources, without losing my already download packages and sources I've added. Anyone here can help me? [editline]10:30AM[/editline] Oh yeah, forgot to add, the error ZodTTD gives me when I try to install it is Sub-process /bin/bzip2 returned an error code (2).
Help..?
And this, children, is why we install sources MANUALLY for when we need them. Reinstall jailbreak.
Can't I just re-install Cydia through SSH? I heard you could do that.
I went and re-jailbroke my iPod, yet it didn't work. They appear to be installed as packages but not as sources.
