A man in Washington state who branded his children like cattle has been acquitted of second-degree assault charges. A jury in Port Angeles deadlocked Thursday on two lesser charges of fourth-degree assault, and a judge declared a mistrial on those counts. The two teenage sons of 39-year-old Mark J. Seamands testified that they had wanted to be branded. The Sequim (SKWIM') man was branded himself. He testified he wanted to bring the family closer together while he was going through a divorce. Seamands' ex-wife said she was horrified when she saw the scars. Seamands' 18-year-old daughter also was branded, but the dad wasn't charged with assaulting her because she was old enough to give consent. The children were branded with the letters "SK," which stands for "Seamands' kids."
Source. that seems pretty dumb, why not get a tattoo which can actually look good?
As if they didn't already have an unfortunate last name
Should have needled in dickbutt too
On the upside, thats the kind of body marking that you won't look back on with regret. It's about family bonding and shit.

The kids were in for it and everybody is alive and fine, leave the dude alone :v:
WTF... Poor kids
lol Seamand I think it's pretty cool, they are probably one of those ultra-hip body mod families or something, I would like to see some pics of them. It's probably not anywhere super visible I would hope, so I see no problem with it. Score one for the justice system imo.
Wat they said they wanted to be branded. Nice going justice system.
tattoos are less painful and dont leave an ugly scar.
Thats true... if he wasn't branded himself it would be completely pointless. Thats the only real advantage to the branding huh.
that's some bad ass family bonding right there.
that's some bad ass family bonding right there.
Ha. If they were branded in the buttocks then this comment is hilarious.
Everyone wanted it, and nobody is complaining. Its obvious why he is in trouble now but I think you could just leave him be.
What the hell, if everyone gave consent they shouldn't even look in the general direction of the case. Leave the guy alone.
