Only care about the money and scamming consumers with shitty microtransactions
remember when EA's exec whined about being voted worst company of the US a few years ago
remember when EA's exec whined about being voted worst company of the US a few years ago
seems like they need a reminder
seems like they need a reminder
A very strong, GRIM reminder. Go after the executives responsible, get under their skin in a way that they CANNOT ignore, irritating and inconveniencing them until they want to mechanically de-bone themselves just to make it stop.
Dear EA: Suck a mad penis.
Ah, the old "Ubisoft" trick.
yup, it's over, not gonna buy their shit ever again.
Are there any publishers besides Bethesda (the publisher, not developer) that still release proper AAA singleplayer-focused games that aren't full of microtransactions and collectathons?
Disgusting.
Are there any publishers besides Bethesda (the publisher, not developer) that still release proper AAA singleplayer-focused games that aren't full of microtransactions and collectathons?
Nintendo and CDPR are two that come to mind
remember when EA's exec whined about being voted worst company of the US a few years ago
By "worst" they probably thought they were saying that they didn't produce ENOUGH, and not refraining from doing hack job after hack job whilst treating their employees, customers and acquired studios like fucking suckers.
Dear EA: Suck a mad penis.
Or suck a micro penis for only $1.99!
Are there any publishers besides Bethesda (the publisher, not developer) that still release proper AAA singleplayer-focused games that aren't full of microtransactions and collectathons?
um, read the news lately?
Are there any publishers besides Bethesda (the publisher, not developer) that still release proper AAA singleplayer-focused games that aren't full of microtransactions and collectathons?
I don't know, are paid mods a dev thing or a publisher thing?
Are there any publishers besides Bethesda (the publisher, not developer) that still release proper AAA singleplayer-focused games that aren't full of microtransactions and collectathons?
Depends on what you define as AAA. Also Bethesda? Really?
Nintendo and CDPR are two that come to mind
I forgot about Nintendo and Sony, because I don't own their consoles, but yea, they publish/make great singleplayer games. [editline]23rd October 2017[/editline]
Depends on what you define as AAA. Also Bethesda? Really?
DOOM, Wolfenstein, Prey and Dishonored 2 in just the last 18 months.
Are there any publishers besides Bethesda (the publisher, not developer) that still release proper AAA singleplayer-focused games that aren't full of microtransactions and collectathons?
Of all publishers who publish good singleplayer games you had to pick one that literally is the opposite of what you're asking as of late. In any case, the answer is yes. I'm not going to bother listing a whole bunch of them because "good" is relative to your tastes and research as basic as googling "2017 games" gives you an answer, but come on man, Cuphead was like a month ago and still getting talked about, Super Mario Odyssey comes out in four days, and Resident Evil 7 was one of the first big game releases this year. That's just three high-profile games of many this year alone. Dark Souls 3 came out last year and Bandai Namco's been handling that series even since the PAL version of Demon's Souls. [editline]23rd October 2017[/editline]
DOOM, Wolfenstein, Prey and Dishonored 2 in just the last 18 months.
Fallout 4 and Skyrim Special Edition, both with Creation Club, within the past 11. Besides, did they ever get Arkane to fix Dishonored 2 running like garbage? They sure never bothered with getting BGS to fix FO4.
DOOM, Wolfenstein, Prey and Dishonored 2 in just the last 18 months.
Fallout 4, the Skyrim "paid mods" scandal.
Ah nice I see we're carrying on the "Endless Trash" from cinema to the Game Industry.
Fallout 4, the Skyrim "paid mods" scandal.
They don't make Prey any less of an excellent game though. I specifically said "the publisher, not the developer". And I appreciate all the suggestions from others, they are all great games, but I didn't consider them for subjective reasons. I mostly listed PC focused shooters and shooter-like games because that's what I feel like is missing in the AAA games market. Someone who likes souls-likes or console exclusives is probably going to be a lot happier with the current offers.
