Oh boy, I can't wait to play this and hating ever second of it.
hey guys why dont you just buy the rights to a few good mods and implement them into the main game?
Can't wait for everyone to buy it ~ironically~.
I really can't think of a way to make a compelling story for minecraft Telltale-style, but at the same time I totally want Telltale to surprise me and somehow make something awesome out of this.
I cannot wait to see how bad this could get.
Remember when we thought Life is Strange would be bad but it ended up being dank as shit
though the problem with life is strange was the really weird "this is how teenagers speak" kinda writing it had early on, this game's problem is the premise itself
True, I just want this game to suprise people I think that'd be funny as shit. Probably not tho

Yeah I can admit while I'm not a fan of that game personally (never played it), I can understand how it surprised certain folks.
This game however just screams "we're only doing this because money and because franchise".
I can see it being possible to not fuck this up
but then I remember that this is TellTale, and they have a tendency to fuck everything up.
It doesn't look that bad, though the first thing that really bothered me is that awful lip syncing. No matter how you do it, making a Minecraft character talk will always look stupid and unnatural, because Minecraft characters were never meant to talk. On top of that, I'm not sure about the voice acting itself either. Really, I just get a big 'meh' vibe from this, and I'm someone you played the sweet, everloving fuck out of Minecraft when I first discovered it. But...I suppose I can't judge till it's released and can be reviewed...

Last I checked Wolf Among Us and Tales From the Borderlands are great so far.
Its minecraft without the thing that makes minecraft good.
What's that? The mining or the crafting?
Its minecraft without the thing that makes minecraft good. The game might be good but there's no reason for it to be a minecraft game.
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
will this be the new bad rats
Its minecraft without the thing that makes minecraft good. The game might be good but there's no reason for it to be a minecraft game.
The wolf among us was great, I want them to make a sequel of it already, or a new poker night game.
Calling it the de facto Story Mode doesn't sit well with me. When I played Minecraft, I used to make towns and villages with their own backstories. I used to download adventure maps and just explore what other people had created. There were stories to be had.
In the other hand, this could just be another adventure map to me. Full of cutscenes. I guess we'll find out soon...
Even if this wasn't a bizarre Minecraft spin-off it would still look like garbage. Seriously, close your eyes and just listen to the trailer, forgetting that it's Minecraft, and it sounds just like a trailer to some shitty straight-to-dvd kids fantasy movie like Delgo or something.
Since I'm playing Game of Thrones right now, I can only say: "I can't wait to have more choices that don't matter!"
Even though I have no plans to get this at all and feel that it is a terrible idea, people have to remember that TellTale DID make a halfway decent adventure game set in the Homestar Runner universe. Yeah, I'm well aware that that isn't the same as just cobbling together a story for Minecraft, but it was still something.

That was still an adventure game with thinking and minigames and shit. Nowadays there are only interactive cutscenes at Telltale games. There isn't much substance to it.
