Damn, the house next door is lucky to be standing. It looks incredibly intact. It seems like whenever I see a house explosion in the states, half the block gets blown up.
A lot of my family live in and around the town where this happened and my sister was working in a shop really close by when the explosion actually went off. Crazy shit.
I'm really surprised that no one died, people living there got really lucky.
moriarty's at it again
[sp]but seriously, those images are surreal[/sp]
That fucking sucks, looks like a bomb landed on their house.

An explosion at that distance is going to play hell on the structural members of the building, its going to need a complete review to see if its still livable.
Interesting that it doesn't look like the windows shattered though.

Aren't houses often made of wood in America? That's probably why?

Double glazing is pretty strong, see how the house window is fine here but the rear car window is broken:

That's probably because American houses (outside of cities) are typically made up of a lot more wood compared to British houses.

Our houses are built like bastards
On the bright side the neighbor now has a detached two storey.
One of my roommates smelled gas last week and called the fire department, it took them over an hour to show up.
Turned out to be nothing, but still
Unlucky to the neighbors who only have half a house left.
Oh wow that's really not far away from me. A few of my uni friends live there.
