the hair ruins it!
[editline]01:23PM[/editline]
well maybe not ruin, but it looks weird...
Justin Bieber?
Cut your hair?
Yeah that's really constructive criticism on my Vector.
Justin Bieber?
No
Yeah that's really constructive criticism on my Vector.
As in;
How were you able to see what you were vectoring?
Is there a face under there?
Justin Bieber?
first thought when seeing the image
A vector where the camera is involved to see the user is kinda obnoxious in my opinion. A clear view of the user doing something with their hands either than holding a camera would look far better.
What other people have said, your hair. It's bleak. Bland. It promotes you're a teenager in need of attention. I know thats offtopic, but the picture of your face becomes cluttered because of it. Making it seem less appealing.
Okay that's fair enough, i just decided to vector a photo of me. I agree it could have chose a better photo but it was a spontaneous decision.
And okay, im actually looking down so my hair covers my face more than it does if i was looking straight at someone/a camera. I can see now that it looks like one of them scene kids that have their hair completely covering their face
I say, redo it with a better pic.

Okay, however what about the actual vectoring aspect?
Looks good, but the lips make you look like a girl :v:
Yup, the vectoring is good. I like it.
you look sexy v:v:v
I like how you did the shirt :)
Yup, the vectoring is good. I like it.
This.
The vectoring is really good if you're not all that experienced.
The folds on the shirt are great, the dark/light contrast on your face is good except for the whiter patch on the bottom right, that looks odd somehow, you should lower its opacity a little.
Also, the mirror's frame and your arms could use a little bit more shading to give them depths, they both look flat. The watch looks odd too, the shadow seems like it doesn't belong to it.
Also your hair is fine, this is facepunch, don't expect any serious fashion criticism here besides "hurpadurp justin bieber".

Yeah i've been experimenting with it for some time and this one was the first one i was happy to show people. Thanks, i've never been good at vectoring clothing.
I can what you mean about the arms, however when i try to overcomplicate skin it usually turns out worse, so i went with the quote "keep it simple, stupid".
Thanks, as i've already explained it cause im leaning forward a bit and it's usually to the side anyway so.
Ahaha, you look gaaaaaaaaaaaaayyy. Like your hair is slowly wrapping your head in it's hair cocoon.
Nah, but that's really good, maybe the mirror frame looks a bit standout-ish, due to it not having any shadows or anything. But other than that, really good.
Now do one without a shirt.
I like it all, but the hair really doesn't fit.
It almost seems like it's a different art style from the rest of the vector.
Leave his hair alone. ;_;
Keep your shit in one thread.
And for colour, it's best to keep in one style. As if you have 3 degrees of shading on shirt, put 3 degrese on hands etc.
Vector trace is fucking easy. By my third trace people started accusing me of using vectormagic or some shit.

you mean what by this?

Lets see some of your vectors then if they are so amazingly easy
Dude lol Facepunch is retarded. 50% of you here would rather complain about his hair or it being easy instead of critiquing his drawing?
I personally thought it was great, although the hair was a little bit teenager-ish, since when is he not allowed to express himself? My hair isn't much shorter than that myself.
Great shading though, and the folds in the shirt were done well. 5/5
Huge forehead

I did them 3 or so years back.
That was my first one:

And my third and last one:

I hate these, they look like filtered 16bit images.
Omg bieber u browse facepunch??
I luv all ur songs man xD
<3
Not a good vector, you really got lazy on the hair and you didn't compensate for ambient light when adjusting the light values. When shading, don't just use darker shades of the same colour.
Also, that is a horrible haircut.
Do you really look that effeminate or is that an effect of the vector process?
