Ten days ago Monty suffered a severe allergic reaction during a simple medical procedure that left him in a coma. Although he fought bravely, his body was not able to recover. During his time in the hospital he was well cared for and never in pain at any time. Monty is survived by his wife Sheena, his father Mony, his brothers Woody, Sey, Chivy and Neat, and his sisters Thea and Theary, as well as a countless number of fans and friends. We were so proud to be a part of his life and we will miss him greatly.
Site's buckling under the load, image mirror: http://i.imgur.com/hBgGB26.png
What the fuck?
Jesus, that's terrible- being allergic to latex, I've always feared such a simple mistake could occur. My heart goes out to everyone affected.
Rest in peace Monty Oum, the world lost a great great talent and an incredible person. My heart too goes out to everyone affected
Why do the good always die young? Rest in peace Monty.
pretty crazy in our day and age allergies can kill. I dont know rooster teeth, but I know people love it and im sure that this is gonna hurt a lot of people. Rest in peace.
What?? Wow.. It's a shame man.. R.I.P man.. May your soul be in peace with god.
Loved the RWBY series, rest in peace Monty!
Rest in piece Monty. I really hope 2016 does not turn out to be the year we lose animators :(
Damn, that really sucks. RWBY was pretty cool, but the voice acting wasn't the best.
See you Monty, you were a pretty chill dude, you'll be missed.
33 is way too young to go Even though I thought RWBY was poorly paced and full of mary sues, it was ambitious and I give him props for that
33 years old is too young to die. Shame. Edited: Goddamn it Samian.
oh fuck no
Year's off to a bad start. First kitty0706 now him. RIP
Jesus christ, not him too. Rest in peace.
We are losing lots of wonderful people in the past months. Geez this is horrible. Why are the most awesome people going away first? Rest in peace, man.
I am absolutely aghast right now. This was so unexpected...
Wasn't a fan of his animations, but his DDR skills were unmatched. Rest in peace, sweet DDR prince.
Rest in peace Monty, you were an inspiration to many people throughout the world, and will continue to inspire for years to come.
He always seemed like a great dude, RIP.
Fuuuck RWBY is a guilty pleasure of mine. While the voices weren't that great, the action choreography was authentic and fun to watch. You could really see the inspiration from action anime or games.
Monty is survived by his wife Sheena, his father Mony, his brothers Woody, Sey, Chivy and Neat, and his sisters Thea and Theary
Those are some very odd names.
Those are some very odd names.
He's asian.
This is why nitrile gloves ought to be standard in hospitals. RIP dude.
Duuude, this sucks. My condolences to the family and his team.
I fucking loved this dude's early work. What the fuck is going on this year?
Rest in peace, Monty. :'C
Shame, although RWBY's non-action bits are cheesy with very average voice work, the action scenes were genuinely great and I don't think any other animator I've seen could pull it off. Funny thing is, I remember reading a couple months back about Monty gaining the ire of a sizable amount of 2ch Japanese users (probably due to a foreign animator pulling off some of the best 3d action animations out there) rip, my condolences to his loved ones
RIP. Will this lead to the end of RWBY? Also, why didn't anyone at the hospital check to see if he had any allergies?
