I don't use alot of different VSTs as my beloved Native instruments massive can get most jobs done, but its dirty grimy sound is completely incabable of producing a fresh piano sound.
Got a recommendation for a good sounding piano VST?
Sample libraries are better for pianos. When I really need a piano I tend to just go with NI's akoustik piano + EQ and all that of course.

Also if you're not playing around with Absynth or FM8 you're missing out. I get much more unique sounds when I'm programming Absynth than I do with Massive.

If you're willing to buy something, there's native instruments shit, kontakt or similar compatible libaries (i don't know any off hand), uh.. true pianos, nexus, and Quantum Leap has some piano shit, not sure if it's released yet, but it's probably going to be costly.

I've checked out FM8, and heard good things about Absynth.
Thing is i love being able to make a sweet sound in two seconds and slapping it on my tune to sweeten its sound, just to get the motivation to finish things.
IDK, i could use a new synth to play around with. Is absynth easily learned? I want to make my own sounds, not a present kind of guy.
Absynth is pretty easy after you spend an hour or two with it. I always get way more rch and natural sounds out of absynth than I do massive. It's definitely worth learning, it's an amazing synth.
