It turned out to be one of the most dangerous and powerful storms to hit Texas in recent years, but even the approach of a tornado was not enough to get baseball fans to leave their seats.
That's pretty neat.
That's just stupidity. Especially given the extremely violent and deadly tornadoes hammering the US in recent years.
Sports fans are fucking nuts.
wtf is wrong with these people it's a giant wind dick thing that will fuck up anything that it touches. MOVE.
Most tornadoes don't do much, just tear shingles off roofs.

Facepunch lagged and made me post twice.
The storm sent grapefruit-sized hailstones down on the nearby city of Denton, causing major damage to buildings and cars.
The tornado destroyed a farmhouse and a mobile home in the nearby town of Merit.
this was not like 'most' storms
[editline]e[/editline]
The storm also toppled powerlines and trees and damaged roofs.
although fair enough it did also damage roofs
It was probably a wall cloud, not a tornado.

Just pointing out why they might not have left right away.
We regularly have tornado sirens in the midwest. As a kid, it's exciting and scary, but after a while you just want them to shut up so you can go back to what you're doing, and then go out and check for missing shingles the next day.

We regularly have tornado sirens in the midwest. No one cares.
The tornado siren in my town has been broken for a couple of years now.
The town still won't do shit about it.
It was probably a wall cloud, not a tornado.
You really don't want to be hanging around a funnel cloud either, as they can very quickly become a tornado, or just as quickly dissipate.
Had loads of rain and hail last night but everything was bright and clear today

This is the first time in my life that I've heard a tornado called a giant wind dick. You should be on the Weather Channel.
The real question is why didn't they call the game?
You know it's time to move when tornadoes become this mundane to you.
It wasn't a tornado
There were tornadoes in the region, but that particular formation was just a shelf cloud:

that's why everybody's still there. the game was called anyway

HOMERUN!
Next batter.
HOMERUN!
Next batter.
HOMERUN!
How will the away team ever catch up? They won't!
ANOTHER HOMERUN!
Despite an hour of constant lightning and thundering, we didn't get one damn drop of rain where I am.
I fucking hate where I live because every serious storm ever seems to just miss our area even though we really need the downpour.
Seriously it's like our city is protected by some invisible shield where every town/city around us (it can even be as close as down the highway from where I live) gets much needed rain except for my immediate area; I must find the source of this and kill it.
I swear it always misses us and goes straight to Arlington.

Run and hide in a bunker or whip out my phone and record the twister..hrmm...decisions decisions...
Fuck the bunker I'm making the Weather Channel!
Oooh shit I think I've been to that ballpark before
Oh its tornado season again isn't it.

Mid-West is 'bout to cop it.

These fans have balls
