I've been wondering as to what Brand would be the best to buy a Desktop from but I know jackshit about The brands except that Dell sucks
Asus/lenovo Asus has great gaming, reasonable prices and are pretty good with the warrenties. Lenovo's are tough as tanks
BuildItYourself it's the best for customisability and quality
Asus/Acer/Dell
Apparently Asus does not make Desktops
Apparently Asus does not make Desktops
Yeah, they do.

There should be a rule: If someone asks for a prebuilt, don't be a stubborn jackass and tell people to build one themselves. To the OP: What's your budget, what do you plan to do with it?
There should be a rule: If someone asks for a prebuilt, don't be a stubborn jackass and tell people to build one themselves.
This is exactly why the thread about Dell turned to shit, and this needs to be a rule.
There should be a rule: If someone asks for a prebuilt, don't be a stubborn jackass and tell people to build one themselves.
Sometimes people don't even know self built PCs are a possible/reasonable option. They need to at least be recommended I think.
Sometimes people don't even know self built PCs are a possible/reasonable option. They need to at least be recommended I think.
I'd have to agree with this. I think the average person could put together a PC without much difficulty.
Sometimes people don't even know self built PCs are a possible/reasonable option. They need to at least be recommended I think.
It's simpler than you would think, the parts only go where they CAN go
it's been proven time and time again you don't need years or even months of knowledge/training to put a few parts together [editline]02:44AM[/editline] and plug a few wires in
It's simpler than you would think, the parts only go where they CAN go
No but you can still damage the part. Whether or not a PC is easy to build isn't that important. The person needs to be interested enough to want to do it, and while that applies to a lot of people here, in no way does it apply to people in general.

Though this thread needs re-railing badly.
Buy an overpriced Alienware or VoodooPC for 20 thousand dollars.
