I've built a number of PC's before. Got a £600 (Comes to £610 with the part list I made) budget minus the £60 she's giving me for building it (which seems fair). It's for her 12 year old son who wants to play games including Minecraft etc. She needed the works, screen and all. I get free carriage on Scan. I'm pretty confident in the list I've put together but could anyone pinpoint if I've done something wrong?
Change the HDD. Toshibas are mixed bag. Corsair use inferior components now unless its the AX/AXi series(my girlfriend has the same PSU as listed here and there are no issues with it but I guess it's time. Can recommend XFX, seasonic and be quiet! Rams good, CPU is good for it's purpose, GPU is sorta ok you might be able to pick up a 270X for the same price or cheaper. Case is questionable never heard of Sharkoon before.
Honestly only picked up the case because it's LED fans are appealing to someone of his age, it's cheap enough and has USB3 front I/O. What would you suggest I swap out the HDD for thats still in a similar price range? WD? http://www.scan.co.uk/shop/computer-hardware/all/hard-drives-int/sata-iii-160gb-600gb
