I can't find Stereo Mix what so ever on Windows 7 Home Premium. Here's going to, Control Panel, Hardware and Sound, and Sound. As you see I have Show Disabled Devices and Show Disconnected Devices check marked. Here's going into my Device Manager, Sound, Video and game controllers.
Your sound card might not have it.
It's supposed to be on the computer already. I am having the same problem with vista.
I've googled for help, it's like finding a piece of hay in a needle stack and the needles can't be picked up by a magnet.
Re-install your audio drivers. That's always worked for me.
Re-install your audio drivers. That's always worked for me.
Give details on what you mean.
Are you using the onboard audio for your motherboard? Or do you have a sound card? If you're using onboard, what's your motherboard model? If you're using a sound card, what model is it?

Are you plugged into THIS or THIS? Is your computer prebuilt or did you build it yourself?

I don't see any spots for the soundcard. Also the computer is prebuilt, however, I got it off of Ebay from someone who made it himself. So it's probably custom made.
Bump, if anyone can help.
Do you have realtek HD audio drivers installed? It's probably realtek, but you should give us your mobo name to be sure.
motherboard. also, microsoft stopped delivering stereo-mix with vista. Some audio drivers re-add it. I never had luck with any drivers.
I have Windows 7. However my mother board is: XFX MD-A72P-7509 (CPU 1). Also is there a program that installs Stereo Mix? Or anything that mimics it very well?
I can't really find which one it uses so you should just try with the realtek hd audio driver http://www.realtek.com.tw/DOWNLOADS/downloadsCheck.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=24&PFid=24&Level=4&Conn=3&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false#High%20Definition%20Audio%20Codecs

http://goo.gl/BmnX is this nicer it's not like lenght matters (in this case)
Alright I went to their site without going to the link and went to: http://www.realtek.com/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=24&PFid=24&Level=4&Conn=3&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false I'm downloading the first option. I'll reply when it's installed and say if anything works. [editline]19th October 2010[/editline] Ok, I installed RealTek, I got Stereo Mix, however it makes some loud ass sounds, either static or some other sounds. Is there a way to turn that off or fix it? [editline]19th October 2010[/editline] Nevermind fixed it. [editline]19th October 2010[/editline] However I think the annoying sound transmits to the other people, can it be fixed?
