• Accidentally deleted partition but haven't formatted it
    12 replies, posted
I have recently, by accident, deleted a partition which held a similar name to the one I intended to remove via the Computer management snap-in in Windows 7 (x64). I haven't formatted the partition, and can approximate its capacity - the partition had also merged with another that I had removed prior. Is there a way I can recover the partition? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Yes, by shutting down your pc NOW and avoiding ANY activity on that harddisk you removed the partition from. Any HD activity means your old data WILL be overwritten with new data. The more you'll use the HD you removed your partition on, the more data will be lost.
And that helps him recover the data how?
By putting the harddisk in another pc and using a recovery program. (And ofcourse you need to boot from another harddisk, not the one you want to recover the data from.)
And that helps him recover the data how?
It helps keep the data that he's deleted intact on the HDD, as otherwise it would be overwritten by any new data, you smarmy cunt.
How's it possible that OP is still online? Is he on another PC?

Or even better create a massive text file.

I use Easeus Data Recovery Wizard.
Its possible to recover the files. It can be a pain in the ass process but its possible.
GetDataBack for NTFS has worked the best for me in the past. Recovered 250gb of my partition that I accidentally deleted. Everything was exactly the same also.
