What computer parts would you recommend for Rendering/Animation/Modelling as well as gaming. my budget is around $3000 I'm not sure but I was thinking of an intel i7 quad core, 32GB DDR3, GTX 970, 1 TB HD. What would you recommend?
Go for a 2 or 3TB HDD when you're at it, you'll just run out of HDD space too soon with a 1TB one. Otherwise, the specs look great for its purpose. i7 is a must for rendering, 32GB RAM will come in handy for large simulations or After Effects work, the 970 is great for gaming. Are you building it yourself? We have a dedicated PC building subforum as well: http://facepunch.com/forums/243
Depending on what you mean with rendering, you might want to look at xeons and dedicated graphics cards like a quaddro k2000 or something. They are shit for gaming tough.
Dont bother with quadros just wait for the 8gb 900 series nvidia cards Seriously though if uoure using something like blender atock up on nvivida cards CUDA is the shit

Yeah I was thinking of getting 3 or 4 1TB HDD's. What should be the speed of the i7? 3.5 or 4GhZ? and also should I get 4 cores or 6? This computer will be used for at least another 5 - 7 years. Yes I am building this myself, but for the first time. My PC is going to be on for hours on end, and possibly days, so I was planning to get a Aerocool Shark 120mm White 82.6 CFM 120mm Fan. I just hope that PC won't overheat after keeping it on for so long.. I'm just hoping that the right specs will give me good 60+ frames on all games maxed out for another 5 years at the most. I plan to use a 23 inch 1920 x 1080 monitor so it won't be much work on the Hardware. I figured I'd stick with GTX 900's.
I think the quietest fans are noctuas - and If it's going to be on all the time you should invest in a high efficiency power supply. With your budget, you can afford a hell of a rig. If most of your rendering is very CPU heavy, something like this would be well worth the money. If it isn't, a Z97 and an i7 4790k would probably be a better choice.
I have a question on over clocking. I was thinking of buying an Intel Core i7-4790 3.6GHz Quad-Core Processor. Is it good enough to last me for a while or should I overclock. personally, I'm afraid of over clocking the CPU mainly because i don't want to destroy it. Is there any i7 I can with 4GHz right out of the box?
Commandhat17, get a 5960x if you can. Good for gaming and rendering. Quadros are about 4 times the price for the same performance. The only thing you really get is true 10-bit colour, but you need a pricey monitor for that too.
My computer has been on for even weeks at a time rendering. A computer doesn't overheat simply by being on unless something is very wrong.

No I meant just for render stuff and general use. I'm going to be using it for a long time. I'm going to be using a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus 76.8 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler. I hope that's enough. As for graphics card I'm still not sure. What about my question on overclocking?
Overclocking is incredibly easy now a days. Even if you don't want to do it now, it's still a good feature to have access to later down the road when the CPU is hitting the end of its lifespan.

Anything else I need to take into consederation? like maybe a new fan because I overclocked?

For overclocking you can just follow a guide. The only real danger is overvolting which can be circumvented by only increasing the voltage lvl's one step at a time. (And not too far).
