Hello guys. Lately i've been watching some offers to get a new comp. I'd be willing to pay a maximum of 900$ (Monitor included) But i don't know where i could find the best deal.
I'm in Computer science Major so i need a good comp that could at least last the next 3 years.
I live in Canada.
The OS doesn't matter. I am with MSDNAA and i have access to all OS for free (Legit)
If anyone can help me, it'd be awesome! Thanks.
Build it, it'll turn out tons cheaper.

if you're a cs major you'll know how to build yourself
But i'm a bit lazy. I hate making my own comp I prefer paying people to do those shits for me.

Oh boy, you're not going to hear the end of this.
Trust me, it's easy as hell. All you need is a Phillips head screwdriver and an hour of time.
it takes literally 30 minutes assuming you ever had lego as a child
Oh. I can BUILD IT. I just don't have the patience to order each parts and choose them
I major in compoota science derp. Seriously just build it.

Thats why you tell us your budget and we will link you to a list of items.
Do you need a keyboard and mouse? I'll knock you something together really quick.

Yep Keyboard, mouse and Monitor.
Okay, give me twenty minutes to give you a cheap little system that should last a while.
Cool! Awesome thanks.

I tried getting midrange components on everything and I think I did pretty good. This should last a fair while, while still being somewhat flexible.
Gets to $869.40

That's not even Canadian dollars. He's Canadian, hence us linking him to newegg.ca, not newegg.com.
For the love of God don't listen to anything MacTrekkie says.
gee, thanks. At least I am trying to help him.

Damn, you're right. I had a cheaper build, but probably best to let the "uber 1337 e><p3rtz" like you help him, since you're such a damn genius.
E8400? oh hell no
What the fuck a core 2 CPU?
Oh my god.
Computer Stores.
Gosh, now I feel old. I think I should just stop giving anyone advice on anything and barricade myself in my home with nothing but an internet connection until I can get up to date on everything.
28$ over budget but it should be able to handle whatever you throw at it.

Still not canadian dollars.
EDIT: Yes it is. I think I'm done posting for tonight.

the stock cooler is better than the shitty external exhaust one
Honestly, it's like building with legos, just more expensive. The different sockets and buses are like the differently shaped pieces of legos. Figure it out yourself, or we'll kill somebody before we believe that you're in Computer Science Major.

This, its really not that hard.
