I need a torrent downloader. I've heard that uTorrent isn't the greatest, and I don't know of any others, so I need some names. Any ideas?
qbittorrent is the best imo
qbittorrent
Version 2.2.1 of utorrent is the best, no ads while still having a lot of more modern features. Just turn off auto update.
Qbittorrent or deluge are currently the best choices on windows.

yeah I was about to say utorrent but then I forgot it's now riddled with advertisements and a whole lot of other bullshit

Wasn't it fairly recently discovered to be installing bitcoin miners on user's machines?
Deluge is really good, it's not infested with ads and is a private project by a small group.
I use Qbittorrent.
Don't go with an earlier version of Utorrent unless you like the potential of having it exploited and your computer fucked with.
I use Deluge to get my Linux distros. It works perfectly for me.
Man, this makes me really want to get rid of Bitcomet :v:
Deluge is the best IMO. :v:
older versions of utorrent, before they added ads
I use Deluge and it's working great for me.
transmission is simple and gets the job done I love it

If you want massive security holes then sure go for it. Or you could just use qBittorrent.
I use Tixati
Deluge

Even then it still is probably not as secure as up to date Deluge. Also Deluge is open source.
Deluge consumed a chunk of cpu just polling for updates last time I installed it, they found and corrected the bug really quickly in source but didn't release a new binary for a year and a half. (between 1.3.6 and 1.3.7, bug 1490, http://dev.deluge-torrent.org/wiki/ChangeLog )
They've since not released another version for over 7 months again. It's not good enough.

The windows version is generally considered inferior to the linux version afaik
qBittorrent or transmission. Transmission is far less forgiving.
i just use BitTorrent, nothing to complain
I use BitTorrent. Haven't had any problems.
Optimized for shitty systems
I use Tixati, easy and lightweight
I also use Tixati, mainly because of how nice it looks but also because of how lightweight it is.
