The Behemoth's insane medieval beat-em-up will soon start storming PCs now that it's headed to Valve's Steam store. The studio's official blog officially announced that their signature title, Castle Crashers, will see a release on Steam very soon. Valve also invited the studio behind the game to premiere a public demo of the Steam gameplay at Gamescom. They also plan to demo the Steam version at the PAX Expo in Seattle, Washington along with their newest title, BattleBlock Theater. The PC port of the classic XBLA and PSN fighting adventure offers all of the same features as their Xbox 360 and PS3 counterparts such as an "arena mode" and an "insane mode," animal orbs and unlockable characters and weapons. It will also support Steam achievements and Steam cloud support as well as Gamepad access. Dan Paladin, one of the game's chief designers, said they couldn't pinpoint a release date just yet. He said (in intentional verse), "I'd say a release date but the future's unknown. If I make a mistake, I shall never atone."
http://www.gametrailers.com/side-mission/26016/castle-crashers-coming-to-pcs-through-steam Day one buy
Cool...but kinda nearly half a decade late for essentially a flash beat em up.
Cool...but kinda nearly half a decade late for essentially a flash beat em up.
You make that sound like its a bad thing
You make that sound like its a bad thing
Eh. It's just been four years and it seems like every 2 years they re release it so that people talk about it and I guess so they can present something to the community on newgrounds. [editline]15th August 2012[/editline] Like, it's been four years since their last game.
Alien Hominid HD please?
Castle Crashers was really repetitive and got boring fast.
Now if we can get Pandemic 2 into steam or turn it into a full-fledged indie game
Hell yeah. Definitely buying this.

I've heard a lot of good things about this game from my more console inclined friends. I'm eager to grab a copy of this.
now I don't feel so bad about my 360 red ringing
poetic as fuck
His name is also fucking PALADIN.
Yayyyyyy I always wanted cc but have no xbox anymore
I love newgrounds a little more now
i've been waiting for this for years
Day one buy. Even if I've already played it.
Awesome. I've only ever gotten to play it at friend's houses and it's a lot of fun. Not having the platform to play it on was disappointing for me, so I can see myself getting it. Hopefully they add the same content that they put in the DLC for the console versions.
Now if we can get Pandemic 2 into steam or turn it into a full-fledged indie game
Pre-order now and get a hat shaped like Madagascar!
Aww shit, played the demo on my cousin's PS3 a couple weeks ago, amazing game. I suppose it's local co-op only, just like the console versions? Oh well. Don't think a game like that could handle any lag, anyway.
Cool...but kinda nearly half a decade late for essentially a flash beat em up.
What? Other than the graphics being drawn in Flash this game has nothing to do with Flash [editline]16th August 2012[/editline]
I suppose it's local co-op only, just like the console versions?
The console versions have online co-op.
Castle Crashers was really repetitive and got boring fast.
I disagree, I played the hell out of it and replayed it multiple times for different characters. If you play alone it's only good about one time through but you gotta play coop.
The console versions have online co-op.
I was misinformed. Awesome! A must buy, IMO.
I remember fucking around on the XBOX version and glitching to level 255, picking the mechanical knights was always fun to do the sawblades would never stop
Hopefully if you have it on Xbox or PSN you can get it for free instead of buying it again.
I beat Castle Crashers with three of my friends in one sitting. Totally worth it.
The console DLC better be inclusive*. [sub]Excluding the pink knight because, y'know, charity[/sub].
Hopefully if you have it on Xbox or PSN you can get it for free instead of buying it again.
And why should that be? That's like saying 'Oh, I bought Mass Effect 2 before it come to the PS3, I better get it free for PS3 too'.
Excellent game, and this brings me hope that their newest game will eventually make the transition to PC also. Although I hope it won't take as long.
i hope they include the DLC and don't charge separately. it's still an old game needs me a game pad, this game was great to run through with friends
ooh my god yes would anyone like to get a little team together? o:
