If you’re trying to play a game on PSN today, you may be running into some issues. Despite routine maintenance set for tomorrow, over the weekend Sony’s PSN service has been hit by a series of crippling attacks from a hacker/vandal collective known as “Lizard Squad.” The group also claims to have been working to sabotage Blizzard’s servers, along with interrupting Riot Games’ League of Legends and Grinding Gear Games’ Path of Exile. But as of late, PSN appears to be their main target, at least judging by their quickly-growing Twitter feed.
Source http://www.forbes.com/sites/insertcoin/2014/08/24/psn-down-as-sony-blizzard-riot-and-others-are-under-siege-by-hackers/ Source from Twitter https://twitter.com/LizardSquad [editline]24th August 2014[/editline] There goes my chances of playing BF4 with my mates tonight
They've been just about everywhere lately. Hopefully they're found and arrested.
holy shit that's fucked up
And incredibly illegal. I'm honestly surprised they don't think they've already got some sort of government agency looking into them... Homeland Security could find them in an hour or two, if they tried. I sincerely doubt people this stupid don't leave breadcrumbs.
They got a Sony presidents plane rerouted. https://twitter.com/LizardSquad/status/503595025301635073 https://twitter.com/j_smedley
They've been spamming the US East dota 2 servers too, for about a week now I think.
I don't get why Twitter allows their accounts to stay up
Congratulations, they've committed a federal offense. Didn't think that one too hard did you?
Congratulations, they've committed a federal offense. Didn't think that one too hard did you?
Most of the time they think they are unstoppable. Can't wait for the day we hear of a raid on em.
All these groups want is attention. If people didn't react, I honestly think they'd stop on their own.
Most of the time they think they are unstoppable. Can't wait for the day we hear of a raid on em.
Thing is, a lot of those guys are actually genuinely good at what they do and are very rarely caught.
Thing is, a lot of those guys are actually genuinely good at what they do and are very rarely caught.
Good news is, these guys aren't that good. Another hacker group found and released the IPs of everyone in their group.
They were attacking Blizzard as well. Took me 20 minutes to get into the Battle.net Launcher. First time I was ever put in a queue for it.
I hope they don't go after Valve
I wonder how their soft, velvet skin will do in prison.
With all the pro-ISIS comments on their twitter and allusions to 9/11, I think it's safe to say that these guys are going to be done-fucked if they get caught.
I hope they don't go after Valve
already happened yesterday back to normal now.
I'm curious if this group was responsible for the Charter nation wide outage yesterday. Was out from 6 pm to 4 am est twitter and facebook was spammed to hell with "CHANGE TO GOOGLE DNS TO MAKE YOUR INTERNET WORK!"
Dammit just when I some spare time to play some last of us multiplayer
Good news is, these guys aren't that good. Another hacker group found and released the IPs of everyone in their group.
Source? I hope these assholes get caught.
Thing is, a lot of those guys are actually genuinely good at what they do and are very rarely caught.
Lulzsec, which wasn't just DDOS script kiddie shit got caught, it took 2 years but pretty much every member got caught. Can't wait for Sony to wreck this group of script kiddies spamming on twitter.
Running .bat files to flood an IP address with requests = hacking now, I guess Standards have fallen so low over the years
https://twitter.com/famedgod/status/503612994904145922
How is anyone supposed to know if that is legit or not?
https://twitter.com/famedgod/status/503612994904145922
No proof really and the whole water marks and urging people to retweet just makes me doubt it more.
Source? I hope these assholes get caught.
Don't see how they won't. You have to be really stupid to make this kind of threat, anyway.
why can't these faggots just... not? what do they gain? fame? yeah that fame will do them good when they're in prison.
why can't these faggots just... not? what do they gain? fame? yeah that fame will do them good when they're in prison.
Its for epic lulz because anything else is just gonna earn them laughs in the prison cafeteria.
